  1. Reminds me of the Sam Darnold interception against the Pats last year.
  2. I am not so sure about the bad oline. Watching some analyst talking about it the other day, Fields is one of the slowest in the league at getting the ball out, and takes some sacks that other qb's wouldn't. Maybe his receivers aren't good, but it could be on him. A problem NextGen Stats says Justin Fields still has - Sports Illustrated Chicago Bears News, Analysis and More
  3. He seems to have good games as long as they don't let him throw the ball.
  4. More often than not, its what happens with QBs drafted in the top five.
  5. As long as Jacksonville sticks to running the ball, they have a shot at winning
  6. You mean, here is his running back's chance.
  7. Only impacts 3-4 games, and with a couple of exceptions, the teams at the top change every year, so I don't think that first place schedule means a lot.
  8. He had one decent game. And other teams will watch the film, and eventually be prepared for the changes the Bears made. And they will need to adapt again. And eventually, he will have to show he can be a successful pocket passer. PJ Walker had a far better game against Tampa. In fact, PJ's game against Tampa was a better game than Fields has had in any of his 19 starts. Not that I think PJ is going to be a good NFL qb, but at this point, he is probably better than Fields.
  9. Fields is great, as long as the Bears don't let him throw the ball much. 42 runs, 21 passes last week. Four passes in the second half.
  10. Regarding cap space, I would guess that several players will be gone next year. Elflein almost definitely. Shaq Thompson maybe. Those two alone clear up 17 million in cap space.
  11. If what I read was correct, Rhule had much more authority than Fitterer did. I suppose we don't really know what went on behind closed doors, but it seems to me that this was mostly Rhule's decision, and with the exception of Tepper, nobody had the authority to override that authority.
  12. IMO, the people that made that decision are gone. Rhule made the decision to bring Darnold in, and it was up to Fitterer to figure out how to get him. Matt Rhule on why Panthers didn't pick QB in draft: 'I just believe in Sam [Darnold]' (nfl.com)
  13. They are something interesting to talk about, not much else.
  14. Wow, two bad picks by Pickett. Tua threw at least four that should have been picked. Not a good night for either qb.
  15. Tua looks great at times, but he also makes some very questionable throws. If the Steeler db's could catch the ball, this game would look quite a bit different.
  16. Chance to go up two scores, and they go for it on 4th and don't make it. Don't understand it at all.
  17. Pittsburgh's defense is just not good.
  18. Tua should have had that pass picked. Got a little lucky, but he is playing well so far. Pickett got off to a rough start when his receiver fell down but recovered nicely.
  19. That was my point though. Keenum has a season at Minnesota were he completed 68%, threw 22 tds against only 7 interceptions. But the next season, his numbers dropped significantly. Geno would have to keep it up for more than one season to convince me to take him over wilson.
  20. I think the question regarding Geno is, will he keep it up, or is he a one season wonder, ala Foles or Case Keenum?
