  1. Cowboys are probably going to win. Texans failure to capitalize on what should have been a game winner is probably going to doom them.
  2. Shouldn't have handed off on the third down. Throw it or sneak it, don't give a speedy group like the Cowgals a chance to tackle in the backfield. But yeah, should have kicked the fg at least. Lovie Smith makes Rivera look like an offensive genius.
  3. Prescott just threw an ugly int. His arm was hit just as he released, but I am not sure where he was throwing to anyway. But I guess you can't really pin it on him. Texans might end up blowing it anyway as they fail to capitalize. Should have kicked the fg.
  4. Watching the Eagles/Giants game. What a great year for drafting qb's 2020 was. Hurts, Herbert, Tua, and Burrow all appear to have bright futures. So much better than the previous year with Daniel Jones and Kyler Murray, and better than 2021, at least for now.
  5. Agreed. He was great for about ten minutes. Their offense was below average for the first 50 minutes of the game. Mayfield looked great in the fourth qtr of his first game with us this year. Unfortunately, the good play didn't continue.
  6. Well, this should make the tank crowd happy as the Rams were ahead of us in the draft order.
  7. I was just remembering something. I went to a Wake Duke game several years ago. Both teams were decent, and Wake took an early lead, but Duke came back and won. Wake played two qb's that day, John Wolford and Kendall Hinton. Daniel Jones played for Duke. If someone had told me that one day, all three would start games for NFL teams, I would have questioned the sanity of the person saying it.
  8. I used to work with Chris Paul's mom. And by work with, I mean we passed each other in elevator a few times.
  9. Well, you were right and I was wrong. Seems a waste of money to me, but I suppose the Rams have a plan.
  10. In some ways, there is an advantage to judging a college football qb without being a fan of college football. Gives one a bit more objectivity.
  11. Personally, I would draft a qb this year. Yeah, the bust potential is high, but you have to take the risk, because the difficulty level of trying to win without a good qb is very very high. Only two teams in the last 20 years or so have won a sb without a good qb (Broncos and Eagles). With a draftee and Corral in camp, we have two players with at least some potential to starter and be good. Of course, the odds are still against us, but with the right coach, who knows.
  12. If we don't draft a qb in the next draft, the fan base is likely to riot.
  13. Because Seattle is competing for the division and they may want keep SF from picking up a new qb. Of course, I am sure that some here might think Seattle is better off letting SF have Mayfield. But the original point was that there is no reason for Los Angeles to grab him with them having no shot at a playoff. No reason to spend the money.
  14. Cutting Cam and hiring Bridgewater. I consider them both part of one decision. Best to let Cam play out his final year, see if he has anything left. If not, draft a qb and more on. The Cam/Bridgewater thing was the first of several baffling decisions at qb that still make no sense at all.
  15. Heinike is the best, he just couldn't stay healthy for us.
  16. No reason they would do that. They are out of the playoffs, and they would be spending money for no material gain. I could see Seattle doing it though.
  17. With Garappolo out, SF is probably the only real spot for him. If he can't play well with Shanahan, then he might as well hang it up.
  18. Too small a sample size to judge at this point. I know you don't like Tepper, but you have to admit that he is better than Snyder. Not that being better than Snyder is setting the bar very high. Fwiw, I was defending Gibbs more than anything. He probably is my all time favorite coach.
  19. My comment wasn't a defense of Harbaugh. Personally, I don't really like him, but if we hired him, I would be ok with it.
  20. Best coach Washington has had in this century. Could be that its more than just a coaching issue.
  21. Lamar was injured in the first qtr. Missed most of the game.
  22. For now, if I were a defensive coach, I would try to force Fields to be me passing the ball downfield, and prevent him from running. That may change at some point.
  23. Yeah, I did. For some reason, I want to call him Zach Smith.
