The announcers are really calling out Chris Reed as playing well and a favorite of the staff. He was ours last year.

Chuba first 100 yard rookie rusher since Jonathan Stewart
Davidson Deac II replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, Chuba played fairly well all things considered. He is not CMC of course, but a solid player nonetheless. It is very disconcerting that he had more rushing yards than the entire Eagles team, our defense shut them down for the most part, and we still lost. Rhule and Brady are being criticized for being to conservative, but the ironic thing is that had we passed less and ran more, we had a better shot at winning. At least in this game. -

I only got to see part of the game, but according to the stats/box score, he was targeted six times and caught five. So assuming the box score is correct there could only be one drop. -
I was able to do it once. Some girl's dad was chasing me, and it was downhill.

Meanwhile, over at that other expansion team...

Well sure, but my point was that 20 years ago, it was easy to get away with being a dumbass. Now, its more difficult. -
Cornerback and 61. And he is probably still fast. Although his name is actually Darrell. Fwiw, I read a story that ran a 4.43 forty on his 50th birthday.

I wonder if these older guys just have a hard time adapting to the new reality? I mean what Myer did wouldn't have raised an eyebrow 25 years ago. And that is the era he came up in, and sometimes its hard for some famous older folks (as well as a few younger ones) to adjust to the reality that virtually everything you do in public might end up on social media. -
According to what I read, Gilmore is on the final year of his contract. He could be a 1 year rental. Or we might decide to keep him longer, but we might have some choices to make next year. Hopefully, that is a good thing.

Well, we are definitely trying to put a great defense on the field. Wonder if Fitterer is trying to recreate the Seahawn SB team?

NFCS Pass Protection Stats Thru 4 games
Davidson Deac II replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
We were discussing establishing the run. In the first half, we did establish the run. Early in the game, we were ripping off decent runs. 4 14 12 2 -1 7 4 Late in the second qtr, and into the third, Dallas adjusted, and shut down the run. And our offense couldn't compensate. -
NFCS Pass Protection Stats Thru 4 games

The ironic thing was that we did establish the run. For most of the first half, we were getting 5-10 yards per attempt. -

That explains why my marriage to Miss Virginia Dakota York failed. -

Don't get me wrong, I thought hiring Meyer was a dumb move on the part of Jacksonville. I am not a fan of hiring college coaches for NFL teams, especially when they come from big programs where he main path to success is recruiting well. But they had a bad team last year, and added a rookie qb this year. They would likely be 0-4 regardless of who the coach is. -

Ever? If you are referring to a coach going down the toilet fast maybe. But overall disaster for a team, I am not sure this cracks the top 25, especially if you take into account non NFL sports. -
The last time we played them was when we came back from the big deficit. That was 2018 I think. And probably our last really memorable dramatic win with Cam.

Dallas has a very good passing attack as well. Dak has turned in to one of the better qb's in the league. If not for that, their run game wouldn't be anywhere near as potent. Its not the power rushing that makes them a threat, its the combination of power rushing and potent pass attack.

If I were a Jacksonville fan, I wouldn't really care about this. Hot young women flirting with wealth famous older men is not exactly shocking. Its between him and his wife. I would be much more concerned with the performance on the field. -
Its the NFL, there are very few sure things.

The day after, I can't help but be upset with Snow...
Davidson Deac II replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
I completely disagree. Dallas has one of the most balanced and best offenses in the league. I thought they would put up at least 30 against us, and they went slightly higher than. Dallas's struggles are on defense. Their run defense was not good yesterday and Chuba had a relatively good day, but we didn't or couldn't take full advantage of it as we got to far behind. Their pass defense is certainly improved over last year, but our protection/pass blocking is not good. -
Why Aren't Christensen & Brown Playing?
Davidson Deac II replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
For some reason, coaches tend not to sub out offensive linemen. And not just our coaches, but most coaches don't. I have wondered why. I suppose continuity is part of it, but it does seem that it might be a good idea to bring in fresh players at times.
