I don't know if it will be that way unless they sign CJ Henderson and their top two CBs are out for the season.
-
They are talking about him maybe being brought in as the Falcons' DC on Panther Wire.
-
Hopefully he won't be as "conservative" as he was in Indy, only going for retread QBs way past their prime and never looking to draft one.
-
Because when you are getting one sentence dismissive posts, those aren't worth responding to either. I love debating posts with laid out arguments, but too often once any football based rebuttal is made it turns in to a name calling contest or worst. Also, Wilks wouldn't be an abysmal hire. He may not be the one you want, but abysmal is laughable.

Man, don't even worry about all the backlash. These dudes aren't going to stop moving the goalposts. Your opening post said everything that needed to be said and they are making you reexplain the same points over and over. I was there a few weeks ago and they literally don't care. You even shut down the argument about our defense getting weaker the year before he became Arizona's HC. You brought up the point about them firing black head coaches after one year and somebody posted a gif rolling their eyes. It is funny the way people are dismissive after you start crushing their weak arguments. Case in point, if someone is still dumb enough to say Wilks didn't adjust during the Tampa Bay game, there is no helping them. He would be one of the best options at HC for us going forward and these people showing how little they know about football post after post aren't going to change that.

Exactly what it is and everybody is trying to twist it into something else. I wish more of these coordinators understood where they were at mentally with readiness. There are too many young guys getting jobs they don't deserve and it is ruining careers.

First off, you don't know that man's connections so stop being dismissive like you do! We have explicitly laid out the reasoning behind him deserving a second chance after Arizona. Let me refresh you, they already hired his OC and they wouldn't draft the now All Pro QB he wanted. His stint in Cleveland was tied to Freddie Kitchens, the Ben McAdoo of the AFC and their QB, you named Baker Mayfield! But you don't care about those things because you are hyped up in the new OC minded HC wave that has produced one count it one championship run, only after one of the greatest defensive players to ever play(Von Miller) was acquired midseason to shore up a porous defense. And now that coach may call it quits, letting his coaches seek other opportunities because he doesn't want to rebuild. As far as addressing anything regarding the last few games, he is operating with Rhule's roster full of misfit toys with a few holdovers. He almost got the team in the playoffs after losing McCaffrey, having a skeleton crew of coaching staff, and multiple injuries. The team was down two, count them two starting cornerbacks against Tampa and Tampa just got their offensive tackles healthy since the first of the season. Darnold started turning the ball over and the back up CBs seriously quit running on the two long touchdown passes. Do you honestly think they were coached to look in the backfield and stop running when they thought the rush had gotten there? If you do, wow LMAO. Hard to crap on the scheme when you are literally signing baristas during the week. Again, Darnold, Henderson, these are players Rhule traded assets to acquire. Wilks argued with Rhule and Snow about personnel, it is documented. So lets talk out of our ass on a message board about things you don't know and make definitive statements LMAO, knowing damn well if these issues happened with a McVay or a Shanahan you would be chomping at the bit to make excuses and concessions. Sorry it took so long to get back to ya

Man Kay Adams is just a pretty face otherwise we wouldn't know her name. One doesn't even have to go but a year back to kill her argument. Obviously she didn't pay attention to the Rams championship run and the midseason addition of one Von Miller.

So which QB do we think will be available at #9?
NorthTryon replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I seriously believe by draft time they will have talked Levis ahead of one or both of Stroud and Young. -
I feel like Wilks could get a competent OC in here, as I recall McAdoo was mostly the only kid willing to play with Rhule on the playground type situation. I do find it funny that ole Ben Mc at one time was the OC/QB guru that everyone currently wants here. I think about how all that started with Gase and Koetter.

He would be a good addition to our new coach's staff, especially for his work with young quarterbacks(Herbert) as an example.

The greatest backup to never do it! We salute him!

Disappointing player of the year award?
NorthTryon replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn't be opposed to that as he couldn't be worse than Littleton, but Brandon Smith was coming along too. Yeah, if he added 15 to 20lbs he'd weigh as much as Luke and TD. -
Maybe THIS is why Harbaugh wants back in the NFL
NorthTryon replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
With all the new permissions, NIL deal, transfer portal options, how the hell is he under possible NCAA investigation? The need for integrity only pertains to certain coaches I see. -
There was supposedly a story on bringing Brady in as part of a front office hire in Miami with a plan to play QB with all those weapons until Flores sued. That story was then swiftly buried. I heard it on a few podcasts and the hosts were like what's up with this? https://clutchpoints.com/dolphins-rumors-tom-bradys-big-miami-front-office-plan-that-got-ruined-revealed

Disappointing player of the year award?
NorthTryon replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, but when you have competent LBs and want to get the guy on the field what are you supposed to do? I mean he has trouble covering every receiving options from RBs, TEs, and WRs. I mean a coach can't be penalized for not switching him to OLB and blitzing every play. At this point it seems he literally would be regulated to a two down weakside OLB in a 4-3 defense. -
Harbaugh to Carolina Makes Too Much Sense...
NorthTryon replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Uh oh, grammar police in the house! Yes, there should have been a coma between know and have. You the man! In 2022, all of your offensive minded head coaches have one Super Bowl(Rams) between all of them and they only achieved it by trading midseason for Von Miller to shore up the defense. All of the longest tenured coaches in the NFL are defensive coaches. Again, turn off the video games man. Teams don't go for it on 4th down in their own territory with the lead. Stop being a pussy and take your medicine. -
"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal
NorthTryon replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is backlash from the CMC trade, just look a few posts up. When he was traded, there was wailing and gnashing of teeth. I even saw people on other social media platforms asking if we even had a team to field. There was a subsequent follow up where they bashed Foreman and said he basically ran into lineman and fell down. These fans felt that when they traded #22, there was no way they could compete for 4-5yrs just because that one player was traded. So then it was a plethora of just asinine threads about trading DJ Moore, him being garbage, and Burns needing to be traded because with their favorite player(CMC) gone, the only way they could cope was for it to be a complete rebuild. A burn it all down rebuild it was not, and shouldn't have been as evidenced by almost making the playoffs. It will be like this for a while. -
Harbaugh to Carolina Makes Too Much Sense...
NorthTryon replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Apparently you weren't watching the game. The 4th down that was even worth discussing was when we were up 14-0 before half. But I get it as dudes like you know very little about football and are basically just fanatics as evidenced by referring to men who know have forgot more about the game than you've ever witnessed "pussies." -
Harbaugh to Carolina Makes Too Much Sense...
NorthTryon replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Prepare to use the female genitalia to reference every NFL and college coach, because nobody goes for it up 14-0. It doesn't matter who is on the other sideline. This isn't Madden or whatever NFL simulation you are using in your mind. -
Why post something like this when he can't pass to himself? The last two games he has had CBs beat for six and Darnold flat out missed with the throws. Dude gave a110% trying to catch the two passes that were both thrown short. If our QB was Rodgers, you may have a point, but its not. Its Sam Darnold with PJ Walker as backup.

Wilks Set This Team Back
NorthTryon replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was most certainly doubled, chipped, and schemed around on Sunday. Stop making sweeping statements for your argument that are false. That is done way too much on this board! And I can't believe you are still whining about this. The Rams could ball out next year and the 2024 picks end up being late round. Either case, it didn't happen. -
Harbaugh to Carolina Makes Too Much Sense...
NorthTryon replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not in his own territory up 14-0. NFL coaches don't do that. I have seen him punt it this year in college down to Ohio State on 4th and short. But you can't post don't hire Wilks every time you post huh? -
Jim Harbaugh has convo with David Tepper
NorthTryon replied to Daeavorn's topic in Carolina Panthers
It won't matter because at the end of the day no one truly cares. You can't really prove anything in court, these rich assholes have lots of money for litigators, and caucasian fans really aren't going to ever boycott because the Rooney rule wasn't followed. -
Ben Johnson vs Shane Steichen
NorthTryon replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
No one cares about that anymore. They just want a young offensive minded head coach who isn't conservative. Anybody who has coached defense or has heard the name Rivera or watched him play or coach a game need not apply. They need not be a coward scared to go for it on 4th down even from inside their own territory, they need to not even worry about defense(truly doesn't matter according to posters), and be the chief offensive mind on their staff so no one can hire away the true offensive genius.
