  1. McKoy and Dunn love it at Carolina. Their excitement and team first/trust the coach mentality never wavered. Styles had a really good quote about how at least the freshmen this year never wavered on that even though they had little playing time. Harris is in the portal as his academics kept him off the court and I bet he didn't get his grades on track during the glitz of the tourney run. So Harris is gone, and the insiders say Walton is gone as he and Garcia have ties from AAU ball. Supposedly Walton has been down since Garcia took leave from the team. Plus the obvious of Walton doesn't fit in at all anymore(can't create own shot, no defensive ability) and would sit for two years. These other players fit the system too well. If they get Shannon Jr. from Texas Tech and everyone comes back, they are going to have a monster!
  2. Yeah, college coaches in all facets are very aggressive with players. I liken that to being at a Tennessee basketball coaching camp once. Pat Summit went up to a kid for making a mental mistake and stopped the practice to shout "Don't think I won't pull your scholarship. Get your ass in gear and quit f*cking it up!" Those type of motivational bursts are will not work with some players and you can get tuned out quickly. People analyze in a vacuum. Yeah Harbaugh got the 9ers to a championship game, but the roster had been built over the course of 8-10 years of high first round picks from the early Alex Smith days and a couple years of mediocrity before Alex. He showed up to excellent veteran leadership and a stable of horses.
  3. Our past underlings are up there showing that they should have or could have been in charge here. Our assistant GM goes up there and actually gets his QB weapons and an o-line. They have surrounded themselves with way better talent evaluators. Our former D-Coordinator actually brought in a set of guys to focus on their QB's evaluation, progress, and growth. Surprise, he made the biggest leap in QB play from one year to the next of almost anyone in history. The only issues I see are they are getting to comfortable with running Allen and McDermott doing his old prevent at inopportune times. Other than that they are light years ahead of where we are at and all of these people including Dorsey and now Brady were all once on our staff!
  4. I would have hated to be the players in the commercial. They were thinking I can't believe this is the the name they came up with and I have to stand in this bullshite and try to look cool/intimidating. Madden create a team at its finest.
  5. I remember McDermott running that prevent defense at weird times down here. With 13 seconds, the game should be over.
  6. That is the only reason! We need a player grown in a lab to make our lineman all pro.
  7. You're probably thinking of Al Groh, Mike's father. He coached the Jets for a year after Belichick was supposed to replace Parcells, quit a day later and went to New England. Groh went 8-8 and left to coach UVa.
  8. Alpha male or not, he got took by Rhule. Rhule didn't even want to coach here. He took our offer up north and they said who cares, hire a experienced NFL level assistant or kick rocks. He then signed here. Tepper just not trying to bite into that poo sandwich yet. He savoring the crust, while we are wiping remnants off our mouths.
  9. Exactly. As minority owner, he wanted to fire Tomlin and and burn Pittsburgh to the ground. They told him to be quiet and sit down some where to take notes. He bought Panthers to shove analytics in everyone's faces. In turn, Pittsburgh and Tennessee who both laugh at that analytic bullshite in favor of old school football are both in the playoffs. Tennessee the number one seed, but hey we were 3-0.
  10. Don't come home, Pep. You're way more qualified than this to work under this joke of a coach, and they'll make you interim later in the season just to get the Rooney Rule out of the way.
  11. Yeah, I know 20/20 is hindsight, but a GM with less ego during SB run. A scenario was thrown out on GM thread about if we'd drafted Devante Adams like Proehl wanted instead of KB as well as Stephon Diggs instead of Ealy. There was another for Funchess that would have required zero trades either and our coaching staffed strongly pushed for these current league stars back then. The GM went in another direction altogether. And then when Richardson couldn't take anymore of it, he brought back Hurney. Damn, we wasted our window!
  12. At least his former players will get another season to live their dreams! I like the excerpt from the Person article. "An agent who represents multiple Panthers' players called Carolina "less meritocratic" than any other team he deals with, adding the Panthers have Temple and Baylor players who wouldn't make a roster anywhere else in the league.
  13. All facts except, when did he put his faith in Rivera? Rivera's last year, he went 5-0 with a backup QB at the helm in the midst of a season full of turmoil. Many feel like he always wanted his own coach to like you said prove how "smart" he was. I only hope that 3-0 and the embarrassment that followed this season can lead to Rhule's canning.
  14. Because you are hating. That is a first class organization and the definition of consistency. I dislike abject hating for no reason. You over here talking about playoff collapses and we haven't sniffed the playoffs in years. We haven't even had the chance to collapse. I wish we had a coach that could consistently get us into the tournament.
  15. A bit misleading. Have you heard of the AFC least? The Bengals have had good years. Marvin Lewis made the playoffs for years and just couldn't win a game. They were even more consistent as far as reaching the postseason than we have been. Stop calling them the Bungals. Browns, you have a point. It is not misleading and quit trying to downplay this man's success. We have no room to talk. It comes off as some hating ass bullshit.
  16. See above post! These Panther fans would be even worse with the unwarranted hate.
  17. 1st coach in NFL history to achieve this feat as well as being number 2 in all time wins with same QB and you label him as "Ok". I don't even know if our fans know what a good coach is at this point. Yet you all cried and whined about Rivera cause he didn't have back to back winning seasons! This is literally the picture of consistency and its just "ok". This take is about as goofy as our damn owner.
  18. I didn't want him here when I saw Kirby Smart outcoach him in the Sugar Bowl and UGA had 13 players out
  19. Fun fact, Tepper wanted to fire Tomlin when he was minority owner of the Steelers. He was emphatically overruled. Another fun fact. Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season. He would never come coach for our whack ace owner who definitely wants someone who looks and talks just like he does. That's why he was waiting in the driveway of our current debacle of a coach.
  20. I see that nonsense so much on fan comments across the interwebs comparing Cam and Brady. A couple of weeks ago when Saints pitched shut out and Brady was cussing out coaches, refs, other players someone posted a gif of Cam falling after a missed field goal. The caption was "I'd still take over this guy any day". Another was when we resigned Cam, some old chick put "he's no Tom Brady". What these morons don't care to analyze are the same reasons we hate guys like Brady. The entire league has changed the day Brady's knee was hurt on a routine tackle. The league mandated we are going to protect our franchise QBs and subsequently till this day you can't touch Brady. We had to watch Cam get absolutely ear holed over and over and over to open 2016 season against the team we lost to in the championship. And Brady has never had to play that opener in his career and he's been to what nine more SuPEr Bowls than Cam. Brady is the outlier because no one will have that weak ass garbage excuse of a division, a coach that blatantly cheats, a league that's on board, and the owner/QB/Coach connection for twenty years in the history of the National Football League ever again. When people don't acknowledge these things when talking about Brady, I know who I'm dealing with immediately.
  21. Could've had him for a few million off the FA heap. Instead traded assets for Sammy. What a bunch of nincompoops.
  22. Exactly. With Cam everything was RPO and runs. They let Sam run actual drop back pass plays. Defenses are sitting on whatever is ran now. Yeah, choosing apathy.
  23. When I saw him get outcoached by Kirby Smart in the Sugar Bowl when UGA had 13 players out, I wanted this franchise to have nothing to do with him.
  24. I just remember Tepper talking about "building something", us not winning right away, and fans should expect the issues of growing pains. I too am hoping he sincerely doesn't feel like this is part of the process of building a contender and Rhule should stay. But then I remember this is the guy who tried like hell to get Mike Tomlin fired in Pittsburgh and this man has never had a losing season.
