  1. Pretty true comment. I'd say that if this happens there will also be plenty of other people with warm posteriors as well. Probably not as hot as Fitts but there could be some awkward elevator rides.
  2. The “sign Cam and draft bpa” dude gonna be homeless come Friday morning.
  3. The picks are very solid assuming no trades. But I take exception to anyone saying this is the final time I can mock Joe Person. That’s completely absurd.
  4. Yeah. I think the only real drama is at 39. The likelihood of us taking AR at #1 (which is incredibly low IMO) is a much higher probability than trading out. I saw draft day too but it was a movie.
  5. I often make conversation over drinks by making inquisitive stupid comments that are just absurd. I’ve never thought of writing them down and posting them in a forum…
  6. Not confident that the FO is reporting final draft decisions to Smitty so he can throw out Easter eggs on a podcast. I could be wrong.
  7. https://www.yogawinetravel.com/things-to-do-in-alacati-turkey/ My wife went to Turkey last year and loved it. Very affordable vacation. Ironically I was talking to one of my clients who n the UK and his brother left the UK and retired in Turkey. I’ve never been but might have to at least perform some due diligence. I never gave them t a thought before her trip. And the country “Turkey” is spelled “Türkiye” in Turkish which is why they changed the spelling.
  8. Yeah. This is well said. It’s a big elephant in the room that everybody points at every chance they get. And still, there’s a group of people in the Carolina FO and coaching staff who really know football that are looking at that elephant and saying “ok, yep” then shrug and run up to the podium to call his name despite that. I’m good with it.
  9. I take exception to the nonsense that Byron Bell was disappointing. The fact the franchise had to put him in the position of playing starter roles is the disappointment. When I look back on Bell I think he made the most of his time in the NFL. Undrafted and played about 7ish seasons. Dude should have been a good go-to bottom of the roster rotation guy and should never have been a starter. That was not his fault. So as far as the glass half full goes, my cup runneth over for Byron Bell's football career.
  10. If I read it on the Google it must be true...
  11. I think its overstated somewhat and I don't think that you can take it literally, but the SEC is probably the closest measuring stick.
  12. Folks seem to be tiptoeing around it but it is much easier to say out loud. Apologies but I am not one for inference so I am seeking guidance. Based on originally post and follow up are u saying BY is has great traits but is small and will therefore have knee problems? That may be a tad too specific, so to broaden it, are you implying that he may just not work out because he is short? If so, I am glad you brought that up. It’s about time someone did. Kudos for bringing up the topic no one else would.
  13. I agree that Chuba can run and has some playmaking ability. We jut need a decent rotation but he can definitely contribute.
  14. Hopefully the Panthers FO is performing due diligence that includes reading this message board. There are so many warnings, well thought out points and rational conclusions regarding the QBs and would hate for them to miss out on such sage advice.
  15. The only fairytale where I see this as possible is if the Panthers are able to do a sign and trade (again its a fairytale so I dont know if this is possible/legal) of CJ, assuming they are drafting BY with the first pick and then receive 2nd pick plus extra from Houston. Anything else is completely unacceptable for The Huddle Universe IMO.
  16. I was good with just accepting who the staff picked as it has alway been out of my hands. I leaned Stroud mainly based on prototypical build, etc…. That said the group assembled on Mint street seems very capable in their ability to evaluate and come to a competent conclusion unlike the previous regime. Can’t wait for draft and training camp.
  17. But this is how it worked in one of the 50 mock drafts I did yesterday. So yeah, it’s gonna happen for sure.
  18. I think we are saying the same thing. Agree if he turns out to be elite then no one cares what it took to get there. I just see those as being long odds and the likelihood is not very high on that happening.
  19. Certainly possible, but for that to happen your presumptive 1st round pick and your vet back up are injured or being outplayed by the teams 2nd year 3rd round draft pick who is coming off an injury. The only way (at least from my current viewpoint) this nets out to being a positive would be that Corral emerges as an elite NFL Qb. If this happens it would mean that Matt Rhule, the most incompetent coach in franchise history, architected one of the most brilliant draft picks in franchise history. That said, I think the odds of this scenario being a good thing for the franchise are not very high.
  20. I think this is a reasonable and very healthy take. I have confidence in what the FO is doing in vetting the options. It sounds like they are carefully evaluating and avoiding group think. Just want to enjoy the ride.
  21. me thinks this was 100% coincidental.
