I usually have homer glasses and I can only see 4 if we split with ATL. “A pessimist thinks things can’t get any worse. An optimist knows they will.” Not sure who that quote is credited to but it is very appropriate for our beloved Panthers.

I’m in total agreement with this. I think if we had done that the board would have imploded in the summer rather than September/October but you would still have picks and some substantial pocket money. Instead we got Sam.

There are big mis-steps for sure. I think hiring Rhule was a mistake. I believe hanging on to him for another year will also be a mistake. IMO he is a new owner making some bad decisions. But I’m not ready to brand him a bad owner. Yet… As far as trust, I don’t think it matters whether I trust him or not. He’s the owner and I’m a fan. I will be happy when things work out and be pissed when they don’t. My situation is different than many though, as I seldom get to attend games. If I were going to the stadium consistently, I would definitely be re-evaluating the financial investment.

Tepper doesn’t care about $$ on Rhule’s contract as mentioned earlier in the thread. Tepper wants a stadium. Those are the $$$ that will motivate DT. If he thinks firing Rhule will get him that stadium faster I am sure he will gladly part with a portion of tomorrow’s daily income to make that happen.

Can’t blame bad players for playing badly. This should be expected

To be somewhat fair, from a draft standpoint I don’t think we have reached for players. Instead we have ignored position groups. In hindsight though, I’m glad we didn’t get a QB in last years draft. I don’t want one in this draft line bless we hit FA hard for OL.

Wonder if Darnold thinks Rhule is a real, live, functional NFL coach?

As an NC State grad, I will be able to watch mediocre but ultimately disappointing college football on both Saturdays and Sundays!

If they do win out (probability low) their tie will make them better than us if we lose out(probability high) which means a better draft pick. I’m cheering for the lions. aside from that I think you are correct tho. Lions stench is a bit worse than the panthers at this point.
