    There is a lot of disdain for Hubbard. He has the albatross of being "Rhule's wife's draftpick" and I think that is in the back of our mind's when evaluating. He is not great but is quite serviceable and what he does. From an eyeball test, he probably needs to improve in many areas but he is a solid runner. If the coaches can do better with other team's castoffs then fine.

    For sure there will be growing pains. But one thing I’m hopeful for is that the learning curve is not as steep compared to other rookies. There were a couple plays where Bryce threw the ball away or into the turf because it was going nowhere. They will never make a highlight reel but those are good plays. For a rookie he he is poised and patient

    I think both of these guys showed had some high level flashes peppered in. YGM hasn’t done that much to give me much confidence he will breakout. If he stays in the roster I will hope for the best and pull for him. If not I wish him the best of luck elsewhere. But it appears to be an uphill battle for him at the moment.

    I was keen on watching Zavala last week but actually forgot to pay attention last night. Didn’t hear much about him which is a good thing. It’s a small sample size but he seems to be coming to work and doing his job which is a good trait for an Offensive lineman.

    My mind wondered about this for a moment last night. Thanks for looking this up. Nice to see kids of former players I watched when I was younger. But damn it makes me feel old.

    Shoulda just rolled with Baker/Sam/PJ and BPA. It’s never been tried before so you don’t really know that it won’t work. Am I doing it right?

    Cam was a great QB and as time passes my appreciation for him grows. That said, is it necessary to make a Cam comparison for every 6’4 ish run threat QB that gets drafted? I feel like the casual comparisons tarnish, if not totally overlook his accomplishments.

    But, but, he went to Clempson, was drafted high and I know his name. Seriously, the Cards taking a 7th is probably a good indication of what you would be getting. I'm quite ok not being in on this deal.

    Well, I do want the regular season to get here. But I am very entertained by the preseason watchdogs. Its better than watching the clock and counting days. We’ve got a couple weeks more and I don’t want those guys to stop posting. I want them to turn up the heat. Dammit, they’re doing Yeoman’s work one post at a time.

    While I haven’t read the manifesto in its entirety, it has the makings of a magnificent rant. I absolutely love it! Keep it up and take me through to September.

    Zavala wasn’t totally lost which s hopeful given he is a rookie and has been hurt. Mingo looks legit.

    It’s preseason so beat to work out the issues now. Rotation is going to change throughout the season due to situations like this so might as well have this factored into preseason play. Just hoping to see some competent play from the group this week.

    Yea. And he was clearly the problem on Saturday. Fug all that S2 processing crap. The combine needs to measure completion percentage whilst being pummeled by a 280 lb defensive tackle. (#sarcasm)

    Definitely a very poor performance and people have every right to complain and be disappointed. Just think the doom and gloom is premature. Hopefully we get to September before people start mocking the 33rd pick.

    I’m glad nobody got hurt and the coaches were able to jot down a few “to do’s”. I would have been more pleased if the team was able to have a sustained drive with BY under center as it would be interesting. But I’m going to reserve judgement/total meltdown for a while.
