The playoff game against Seattle the 2015 season was the most electric atmosphere Ive ever been in and I go to the UNC/dook game at the Smith Center every year yesterday was an embarrassment when you have a mediocre team and you no longer have a larger than life star that people want to see (Cam) you cant blame people for not showing up. Im lucky to live a mile from BOA but just the hour wait in the parking lot trying to get onto Morehead after the game is enough reason why people wouldnt wanna come. Nevermind the mediocre team, expensive tickets and drinks, and obnoxious other fanbases taking over the stadium

Its easy to put the blame on Wilks but reality is if our front 4 could get pressure he wouldnt have to send the house. And even when we did send the house we still couldnt get consistent pressure. Players have to win matchups too it’s not all on the coach Ron looked like a defensive genius when we could just send Hardy, CJ, KK, Star and drop everybody else back into coverage and still get sacks

Not sure what game you guys watched but I saw alot of zero blitzes on 3rd down which left either Chinn or Taylor on an island against a receiver and we couldnt win the matchup Pickens was eating us up and we moved Horn over to him and virtually took him out of the game in the 2nd half and that left Taylor 1on1 with Dionte Johnson who abused him

If we finish 7-10 that means Wilks basically went 6-5 with the disaster QB room we have (i dont count the first game against the Rams against him because he became the coach the Monday before the game)

Wilks is never gonna outscheme anyone his mentality is were going to be the more physical and aggressive team and impose our will on you The complete opposite happened today absolutely killed in the trenches and manhandled at the line of scrimmage against a team with nothing to play for, in the most important December game in 5 years, at home sorry Steve i was rooting for you but that’s unforgivable

The football program is historically (other than Mack’s two stints) a 6-6 with a Dukes Mayo Bowl program that will always be in the shadow of the basketball team after inheriting a dumpster fire, in the 4 years hes been back hes had them in the orange bowl, in the acc championship, made them a legit destination for elite recruits, made them nationally relevant, and has actually made chapel hill care about football again. He should have the stadium named after him not retire. The only fans upset or other fanbases hating on him are the delusional ones that think UNC should be the level of program Clemson is. What gets forgotten is he probably would have had them there his first stint if it wasnt happening at the same time Florida State was in their golden age

What LSU QB before Burrow did anything? what Oregon QB before Herbert? what Auburn QB before Cam? what Texas Tech QB before Mahomes? every USC QB in the last 20 years besides Carson Palmer has been a bust, should teams shy away from Caleb Williams? dumb take lmao

I like Wilks but the idea that any players on this team think they have any leg to stand on campaigning for a coach is hilarious. This is not the 2001 Miami Hurricanes where they had a championship team and needed to keep a coach here so that he wouldnt get in the way

One of the only things im excited about this season is getting to see what Chinn looks like with Wilks/Holcomb in charge of the defense

His stretch during Kyle Allen’s winning streak was the most fun ive had watching the team since the first half of 2018 before Cam got hurt every week you were waiting for him to break a 50+ yard TD and it happened every game

Its absolutely good enough to keep us in games and if we even resembled a pro offense were at worst sitting at 3-3 right now

A team like the Giants looked to be in a worse situation than us a year ago and now theyre 5-1. Im not gettting rid of any of our young talented players until we see what kind of coach and QB we end up with in the offseason. Cap space and draft capital doesnt translate to wins on the field. Players and coaches do. I honestly dont think Rhule had a bad approach to building the team other than the QB situation. If Herbert falls one more pick to us were probably sitting here right now talking about how quickly we built one of the youngest and most talented teams in the league in less than 3 years

Im all for dunking on Rhule but that Baylor turnaround was pretty impressive. They damn near lost the program and he was a game away from the CFP by his 3rd year
