9 or 10 first round tackles/WR's per Gettleman

If Gettleman sees 9-10 guys at WR and OT 2 hours are worthy of a 1st round pick, then it's almost certain that at least 1 of them is still there at #28.

I've seen more than a few mocks with 10-12 tackles and receivers gone by 28. Really hope that doesn't happen. Both positions don't seem to only be deep but also have the most top talent this year. Our best hope is a few teams reach for need because if everyone did stick to bpa we could in fact see 10 or more gone before our pick.

Look. Gettleman today said protecting Cam is more important than getting him weapons. Also said the team wouldn't reach. Well guess what if you go OT at 28 with the "Big 3" OT's off the board. YOU ARE REACHING.

Protecting Cam IS more important than getting him weapons. Read between the lines. BUT, we wont reach just because that it is more important.

My guess is we're going to spend the next two drafts building the WR position and the OL. They're both ridiculously expensive to build through free agency if you're looking for any kind of quality. I'm all for getting the best combination of players from these two drafts to ensure the greatest talent we can muster is on the field eventually.

Our OL situation as it sits is the worst in the league. Hell, maybe the worst I can ever recall in the league. We have one guy who would start on most NFL teams and that's Kalil. The Smith situation and losing Mitchell and Ginn caused a lot of outrage, but Gross' retirement was by FAR the biggest loss of the offseason. We already needed to upgrade RT and as it sits right now, the guy who was failing at RT is penciled in at LT. Fug.

There are 8 are obvious guys on this list (top 4 tackles and top 4 receivers). The others I'm not so sure about but i think we end up with Moses if he's available. The 5th best receiver prospect is probably different on most draft boards and unfortunately that is the only one we would have a chance at unless there is a very unlikely, unforeseen slide by Cooks or OBJ

1. Robinson

2. Matthews

3. Lewan

4. Martin

5. Moses

WR

1. Watkins

2. Evans

3. OBJ

4. Cooks

5. Robinson/Lee/Latimer/Benjamin/Adams?

Which receiver is number 5 on DG's board? That is is the big question. If that receiver is available I think we take him, but if not I think we take Moses (if available).

But just because, say, 3 of those 10 are still on the board when we pick at #28 doesn't necessarily mean any of them would be the BPA on Gett's board, right?

Could have Shazier, Ealy, Fuller, Nix, Hageman, Martin, etc. rated higher than any of the WR or OT left at that point possibly.

But, but , but Bell is left handed :)
