An interesting factoid: This is who the Rams got for the picks Washington gave up for RG3

Follows the tried and true mantra that picking a bust at QB sets your team back 3 years. Panthers really got the pick of the litter with Cam. We are very fortunate as Panther fans.

Good thing we didn't try to trade back like so many people wanted

Washington made the playoffs and RGIII was rookie of the year. The Rams will not make the playoffs again this year on account of 49ers, Cardinals...oh and the SB Champs Seahawks.

Cousins was exposed down the stretch last season and has never looked like a franchise QB.

Washington made out just fine.

Yeah 1 playoff game for a team not built for sustained success vs. a team that has built a potential young playoff team from the ground up.

That's a typical Washington Redskins mindstate right there..."but...but we made the playoffs...ONCE!!". That's not what it's all about. It's about ensuring you build your team and keep your team in position to continually make the playoffs. Redskins f*cked themselves on that end. Washington and the Tampa Bay Bucs share the same logic.

2012 1st round (14th pick) - DT Michael Brockers (starter, impact player)

2012 2nd round (7th pick) - CB Janoris Jenkins (starter, impact player)

2012 2nd round (18th pick) - RB Isaiah Pead (back-up, no impact)

2012 5th round (15th pick) - G Rokevious Watkins (released, no impact)

2013 1st round (30th pick) - LB Alec Ogletree (starter, impact player)

2013 3rd round (30th pick) - WR Steadman Bailey (back-up, small impact)

2013 5th round (27th pick) - RB Zac Stacy (starter, impact player)

2014 1st round (2nd pick) - OT Greg Robinson (slotted starter, likely impact player)

Pretty good haul by St. Louis.

I wonder how much better Washington would be with the players above along with Kirk Cousins than what they have now?

Yeah that's most def deserves an attaboy to the Rams management. Staley is a guy to keep an eye on if you do fantasy football. The Rams d-line looks like it could be up there with ours in terms of best in the league. Brockers-Donald-Long-Quinn looks pretty damn scary on Paper.

How much you wanna bet that the Redskins with RGIII will make the playoffs before the Rams do? And what the heck does "not built for sustained success mean?"

RGIII has shown more in his rookie season than the Rams have shown in their entire post-Marshall-Warner era;

Until the Rams show us that they can not be eliminated from post-season action by mid October, and until Jeff Fisher shows that he can have a winning record without Vince Young bailing him out...

The Redskins will be fine.

AND WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! THEY MADE THE PLAYOFFS IN 1/2 YEARS SINCE THE TRADE.

Stop acting like this trade happened a decade ago and they only been to the playoffs once.

Thank you. But I thought it was 2 first and a second. They swapped their 2012 1st round pick.

first round picks in 2012, 13 and 14 plus a second in 12.  the Rams may have made additional trades to acquire all those guys with those picks, but the Skins didnt give up 8 guys for RG3, this thread is totally misleading.

Yeah, you're right. The Redskins will be fine. They always are. What does not built for sustained success mean? The team has holes, and they don't have the cap room nor the high draft picks to address them. About 40 men need to play at a high level each to win games, not just RG-Knee, Morris, Garcon, and your beloved overpaid D-Jax (fuging joke btw).

Your secondary is lackluster, d-line is lackluster, linebacking core is average, o-line is lackluster, no tight end threat, and the quarterback's dick you suck has proven notta gahdahm THING to make me believe he will SUSTAIN SUCCESS in Washington.

Plus, the team is run by a hybrid of Donald Sterling and Jerry Jones.

But they'll be fine.
