We didn't do Cam any favors, and if this is it we're gonna have some problems

Gonna have to disagree here.

You can move Cam around by design if you want to and still provide him protection.

We need opposing Defenses to feel like they are generating successful pass rush! Even tho, truth be known, Cam would kill that pass rush if connecting on his high throws

I can't say I love the draft. Love kb pick ok with ealy and trai. Beyond that was a perfectly good waste of draft picks. I'm not a fan of this bpa strategy at all. The deepest wr draft in history and u can find more than 1 at any point that you like? I dontw see how anyone could give this draft more than a b. We got good value in ealy but what about starters? He's not day 1 starter and you could argue the same for Benjamin (who I love as the pick).

Let me say it again and it's why They keep saying the answer is usually on your roster.

They like Chandler and Bell at the tackle spots. End of story, hence the statement that none of the tackles in the draft after the top 3/4 were good enough to compete with those two guys.

Cam has three huge targetds with Olsen, Dickson, & KB. Clutch and redZone threat, Cotchery.

A lot of weapons with a rrdzone threats being a priority. Seems to me the Panthers plan on scoring a lot of TD's.

He also has a loaded backfield, and more talent added to the interior of the oline.

I've said this before, I believe in Chandler.

Will add more later..I've got to go.

I'm thinking gman didn't want to draft rookie tackles that were unproven after Martin, Robinson, Lewan, Matthews were gone because after those guys there is no guarantee that they can be better than what they can pick up from teams that made cuts...by saving money thru godfreys contract that gives us a lil extra cash to find an OT like maybe Winston or a few other guys that can be solid and add depth till we find our sure fire starters... Idk why everyone is so upset anyway the best available guy at tackle for us was Moses and his game film did not impress me, and everyone is blinded by the fact that our guard play was horrible last year becuz gross retired...the only above avg healthy player on the line we have is Kalil hopefully silatolu if he can get healthy...but pretty much the whole line needs help...give the man time we don't play till august you all seen how many players got signed after the draft last year gman is all about saving a dollar and not gambling on unprovens... We are getting better and saving money what more could u ask for...SOUNDS like you all MISS HURNEY and surely that can't be true...

I actually think our WR corps is a little better this year. That is assuming of course that KB will produce better than 745 yards and 4 TDs which I am confident he will do.  He may have less yards but I expect a bigger TD number.  Cotchery, Avant, Underwood are an upgrade from Lafell, Ginn and Dixon.  These 3 guys are more reliable in the pass catching department.  Add in our leading receiver from last year, Olsen, and I think we have a decent little group.

**All of this doesn't take into account our Oline which definitely plays a large part in protecting Cam but if we are talking about just the WR group I think it's an upgrade.**

and lets not forget that our offense is probably about to transition to a 2 TE set with the addition of Dickson. Cam is more comfortable with the short-intermediate passes. plus TEs can block in the running game. people who are getting all doom and gloom about next season are ignoring these facts. tackle will probably be the weak link of our offense without a doubt this year. but with strong C, G, TE, & RB the running game will be very strong. we can work on OT next year. i think Bell/Chandler/Backups can be serviceable and draw strength from those around them.

I probably would not have gone the way DG did (except for the Benjamin pick), but then again I guess that's why I write history books instead of run NFL teams for a living. After seeing what DG accomplished last year, I am inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. I can live with pretty much every pick we made, and would be comfortable in how we move forward, if not for the glaring hole we seem to still have at LT. Bell and Chandler, God love them, will try like beasts to be the guy we need, but I just don't know if they have it in them. As has been pointed out, there are still moves to be made as vet s come available in FA between meow and the start of the season. I hope - REALLY hope - that we have a few guys on our radar that we can get to keep the heartache off Cam's back.

But having said all of that, I will - with reservations - support DG's moves until events show me they are wrong.
