Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know; it's another speculation thread, but it's better than sitting around talking about Greg Hardy all day.

According to Andre Johnson himself, he is unsure of if he wants to return to the Texans and may seek a potential trade.

As of right now Johnson has no plans to participate in Houston's mandatory offseason activities or mini-camp and it seems as though he is taking his time collecting his thoughts.

Johnson was quoted as saying the following: "Now I'm on my third head coach, that's something I give thought to," Johnson said. "I just look over my career, is it a place? I've only been to the playoffs twice. I think we've only had three winning seasons, two 8-8 seasons. I don't think any player wants to experience that.

Johnson is 32 and on the tail end of his career (maybe three or four more years), but he might be someone worth checking out if the price is right.

Another thing to factor in his how great of a mentor and guide Johnson would be for KB.

What do you say, stay away or check it out?

Not to burst our collective bubble, but we've never had back to back winning seasons. If his problem is consistent winning, why would he come here?

We're a team on the rise, we have weaknesses but our weaknesses get blown out of proportion because those weaknesses are so bad (like LT and RT).

Overall, there's not much of a difference between this years team and last years divisional team (talent wise).

It would be an interesting kick the tires kind of thing, but as previously mentioned Hardy would have to be traded this offseason... or some maneuvering around a few contracts like DeAngelo William's and another small contract.

According to Over the Cap the Panthers are $5 mil under the cap, cutting D-Will right now saves $4 mil for this year bringing that total to $9 mil and Johnson's contract for this year is at $10 mil (I think).

    • Like a lot of things in today's economy, market concentration is a huge issue in the vet space. Mars (yeah, the chocolate company) owns roughly half of them with their control of Banfield and VCA as well as numerous smaller chains. Oh, and all that Royal Canon food the vets are prescribing and recommending? Yeah, that's owned by Mars too. Don't even get me started on the racket that is "prescription" dog food and how incredibly uneducated the average vet is on basic pet nutrition. Back to the actual clinics... private equity ghouls who care about literally nothing but profit own another 30%. Now you're down to roughly 20-25% of clinics that aren't under the thumb of Mars or private equity.
    • I just listened to Devil in the Desert.  😳
    • like any profession, a lot of them are very greedy and balloon up bills.  My buddy is a vet.   When he was first starting out he had BIG issues with the vet he was employed with because he was expected to drive up bills.    He now owns his own practice driven by that very reason.  Good man that wants to sleep good at night....doing what he set out to do at a young age (with the same reason in mind, to help animals and people).  But per him, a HUGE % of small animal vets are just gouging the f out of people.  like most things, I want the most mom and pop variety I can find.  The bigger practice, like most businesses, it more likely is owned and operated to make as much money as possible at the end of the day.
