Hilarious Encounter Police *Again*

Everyone by knows my past problems with my local police.. Just had another encounter with them. Thankfully this one is more hilarious than my previous visits from the police. Figured I'd share with everyone for shits and giggles.

So, for some back story I'm an avid golfer and so is one of my best friends. I recently built a very small putting green on my yard for improving my short game. Around 7:30 I spent an hour practicing with said friend. Around 9:45 I was watching TV and thought I heard someone in my driveway but never heard a knock on my door, all of a sudden the Reidsville police are calling my house telling me an officer is at my door and I need to go speak with him. I get to the door and ask him what the problem is.

Cop: Sir we received a call saying that someone in the neighborhood was shooting numerous golf balls into their home

Me: I was just golfing in my yard but I didn't even come within 300 feet of anyones house, I was putting.

Cop: long drawn out silence

Me: If you plan on taking me downtown just go ahead and get it over with

Cop: Well uh. The residence didn't actually have any damage

Me: So you came out here for nothing

Cop: No I'm just following up on the call, I wanted to see if you had seen anything

Me: So you assumed it was me even though nothing was damaged?

Cop: Well I uh I just uh.. Well no I just wanted to see if everything was alright here.

Cop: Have a good evening sir.

Normally it's the Police giving me problem but it appears my neighbors are competing with them now. So glad I'll be moving out if their jurisdiction soon.

I thought you were going to get a job or something? Glad to see you're using your time wisely.

At least I'm spending my free time golfing instead of making up lies on an internet message board.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
    • Burns at 5-6 seems....a little aggressive.
