9th Pick

  1. 1. Who do you want Cha to draft at 9 and why?

I got these two as the best SG's in the draft hands down (excluding Exum)

Still am not sure which is gonna have a better career.

Yeah I would agree with that. I just don't understand how everyone thinks it's a no-brainer to pick Stauskas at 9, but would be dumb to pick PJ there. Guess they're letting the mocks think for them.

I like them both but I tend to think PJ is the better player. When PJ was on the court at the end of his Sophomore year he was a bad man. It would be nice to have that attitude and toughness (minus the BS, obviously)

Yea I dont get the whole PJ at 9 is a reach. He would have easily been one of if not the best SG this past year in college.

Him and Stauskas are who I want from this draft. I would be pretty bummed out if we don't get either.

He's more athletic then you'd think watching him play. However he is only 6-7.5 in shoes. He did have a 36.5 max vert though.

However I think if you want a stretch 4 from this draft then you take Saric. 35% 3 pt shooter and he's 6-11.

But why would you even want a stretch 4 after taking Zeller that high just one year ago?

McD will not be able to play the 3, unless he make a career of being a 3pt specialist off the bench. You don't take a guy like that with the no9 pick esp in this draft.

McD will have to prove that he can be a tough rebounder like Love to play PF. I'll let him shoot from all over the place if he can give me 10 boards a night.

I'm not sure how McD name should even be connected to Charlotte when guys like Harris and Stauskas should be available. Those two guys are far superior shooter than McD imo.

I wasn't saying to draft McD, I was simply saying he was more athletic then most would think. He's still not quick enough to be a 3 in the NBA....So his best bet is as a stretch 4.

Hence my statement, if I was looking for a stretch 4 in this draft that I would take Saric over him in a heartbeat.

If gordon or randle is there you sprint to that podium

Why should we sprint to the podium to draft an undersized tweener PF who is insanely raw offensively and not an elite defender & rebounder?

Lets not forget the fact we just drafted Zeller 4th overall. SMH

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
