I want no line bifocals, antiglare, tansition lenses.  Can get them at Walmart for 1/2 of what I can get them for at Lenscrafters.  (Do not have vision insuance).  Would buy the frames somewhere else.

Anyone bought from Walmart?? How is the quality?

I just got a pair of glasses for wearing around the house at Visionworks for $69.  I don't know how much you were wanting to spend but that's pretty cheap in my opinion.

I am willing to spend a lot more but always do not want to spend more than I have to.  Lens Crafters is about 600 -30% (for not having insurance) for the lenses that I want. Plus frames.

I will check out visionworks.  Thanks.

I've gotten all of my vision needs satisfied at Wal-Mart since high school. I still have the frames I got my freshman year of college. Pretty nice frames. Sturdy (starting to bend and get a little loose. Need to get black rimmed glasses next time I go back for my eyes) and comfortable. I don't know if they do transitions, but I THINK they do. If they don't, Sears used to (I had to go there to get my transitions in middle school). Lenses are decent quality. My only gripe is if you don't clean them semi-regularly, they get gunked up kinda easy and are a little easy to scratch if you're one to drop your glasses much.

Can't say as much about lenses, really. I wear contacts pretty much all the time. My glasses are in case I run out of contacts or if I just feel like giving my eyes a rest one day.

I manufacture lenses for a living in wholesale lab. (Surface and edge) Been doing it for 40+ years.  I am on my wife's insurance and go to walmart for one pair a year. They give the best price, copay ect.  They are just fine if the price is best.  If you feel you will have problems, best there than online. You got the walmart in person thing. If you think on line will be ok, you will need what they call a PD.   Any optician can do this , including walmart, but some are stuborn about for obvious reasons. To get a PD, you will need a MiliMeter  ruler.  Get a friend to look you face to face , YOU look at their left eye have them look at your right eye and put the zero there, Then YOU look at their right eye and tell them to get the number under YOUR left eye.  Usually will be around 63 MM. There are lots of ways to get this but this works fine.  I've made probably a million pairs of eye glasses. I do make my own lenses when i am not due on Insurance.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
