Sources: Hornets Interested in Lance Stephenson

Recommended Posts

This might piss a lot of people off lol.

Sources say the Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls are two teams to keep an eye on in the Stephenson sweepstakes. The Hornets could offer Stephenson a lucrative contract, with the franchise only on the books for $42.6 million, in an effort to upgrade at shooting guard over Gerald Henderson. SheridanHoops

He'd get to whisper to LeBron four times a year.

PG: Kemba Walker / Gary Neal / Jannero Pargo

SG: Lance Stephenson / Gerald Henderson / P.J. Hairston

SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist / Jeff Taylor

PF: Aaron Gordon / Cody Zeller

C: Al Jefferson / Bismack Biyombo

Stephenson could play some PG here with Kemba at the two. Stephenson runs the pick and roll pretty well.

I've said it a million times, but I wanted Born Ready when he came out and still dont know how he slipped to the second round. That being said, his skill set doesnt really translate well to our current lineup. Would he be an upgrade over Hendo? lol... who isn't? Absolutely he would be. But, we need a scorer. Stephenson isn't a scorer. He's a ballhandling, do-it-all playmaker. A great all-around offensive player, but he isn't that perimeter scoring threat that would put our team over the top. So, I'm not really feeling this...

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
