I have the Galaxy S4 with Aviate installed on it....like a boss. I just had to switch from the S3 which was a great phone....much better than the iphone I made the switch from. My wife has the newest iphone and it just irritates me

I have a flip phone for work in the field and a black berry for in the office i honestly don't see what the big deal is with the need to upgrade your smartphone every year. Ive run over my Motorola tundra dropped it in the toilet and even down the ramp at bank of america and it still works that poo would never happen with a smart phone. Don't get me wrong i have a kindle fire but thats just at home for fap sessions and candy crush binges.

What about the htc m8?

I'm starting to look and it's one of the phones I'm considering. FYI. Costco has it and the s5 for a hundred with free accessory bundles. The s4 is only a penny with them. I'm also still considering another iPhone but Costco doesn't carry them.

I have the Galaxy Mega. It is huge, bigger than the Note 3. It is basically an S4 on steroids. I love it. 6.3 inch screen, and all of the S4 feauters except for a couple of them that I would never need any way. Battery life is decent as long as I do not have Bluetooth and wifi on all the time.

Loved my Note 3 more than any other android phone I've had since the OG.  However, since the kitkat upgrade it's been shitting the bed as far as network connectivity.  I used to never go out of 4G range, now it drops connection repeatedly when I'm not even moving.  About to root it and set it up like I used to do.  The hacking itch is getting stronger.

My Galaxy S3 is so slow now..batt dying quick. Goes from a full charge to 30% in like 3 hours.

Of course I have a battery saver app that always takes me off of wifi automatically and if i change it it auto changes after a few minutes...i like the different things I can do but damn there are annoying things I cannot seem to stop or change.

Iphone is easy to figure out but I may never go back ...but seeing that this freeze screen and battery thing happens to a lot of people I may reconsider.

 

 

Check whats draining your battery. I have the same phone and it was doing the same thing as yours. My husband who had the same phone wasn't.  Mine had Google Play services running and eating up all my battery. I backed up everything, did a factory reset and it's all working fine now, back like new.

I've had the HTC One m8 for about a month and love this sucker. It's pretty similar to the S5 AFAIK in terms of power, capability, and features (not waterproof, though). The One m8's camera is a little worse, but aesthetically this thing blows any galaxy phone out of the water. Best looking device I've ever owned. It's speakers are also WAY better than any other phone on the market.

 

You can't really go wrong with the s5 but the m8 is also worth a second look.
