We are headed up there in a few weeks- planning on going to the Ale Share Beer Fest at Highland Brewery

keep in mind, I cannot afford $200-300/night up there.

 

The Super 8 is getting amazing reviews on TripAdvisor and its only $130/night.

I'm looking at staying the 18,19, and 20 and coming back on the 21 of this month.

 

Looking for hotels close to cool bars, or at least walking distance.

Oh, yeah we are going to Highlands Brewery so I'm not looking for something in the heart of downtown.

But good luck finding something reasonable in that area!

Super 8 is reasonable and a 7 minute cab ride from downtown.

Not sure what we'll be doing for dinner since I imagine we'll be shitfaced after drinking for 6 hours straight.

Have you considered AirBnB?  https://www.airbnb.com/  Some solid deals on there if you aren't hung up in staying in a hotel exactly.  

 

Definitely check out Biscuit Head in W. Asheville for breakfast/brunch.
