Hornets Now Players For Deng

Recommended Posts

Not really interested in Deng. I'd prefer Lance like a lot of you would if we HAVE to spend the money, but I am concerned about the chemistry issue. Deng wouldn't be a bad 2 yr contract rental to help be a good mentor for a player like PJ.

Unfortunately in this offseason we lost out on the two guys I really wanted, Livingston & Hayward.

So now my secondary FA wishlist is basically not spending our cap space.

PG: DJ or Hinrich

SF,PF: Marvin Williams (I'm not a UNC fan, but think he would be a good complementary piece)

- I'd also explore the trade front with the Cavs for Waiters.

Forgot all about Jameer! I'd take him over Hinrich and probably over DJ as well. He would help out Kemba a lot.

Also my only concern with Lance is almost all of his buckets are on 1 on 1 situations. I'd just be concerned that he would change the dynamic of the offense and don't know how well he would adjust to our Al-fense.

I agree on your 2-5 players.

You are worried about chemistry but weren't there reports that one of the issues in Cleveland last season was Waiters' attitude.

ETA: never mind I misread your post

    • He's 245lbs and ran a 4.5 at the combine several years ago. You can't teach size or speed so he's got those things going for him. If he has a decent work ethic and the coaches have a plan for him, he should be more than a camp body.
    • Great realistic draft, its missing a 5th the Viking one right or you used it to trade for JROd...I see.  Thomas is the 6th is one of those "autos" if there's no Cole Payton/QB.  I believe Parker is like christ, he can play all 5 OL spots if needed.  Crow is one of my targets for months, sometimes I can get with the 4th, but I think he is a solid 3rd rounder.
    • He does have luke-like traits, but ......ugh I hate to spend draft currency on the low valued ILB. Same bitachin I did about Dan traded up for brooks, he even pulled the classic " we had a 1st round grade on him"  Hell I rather see if Wallace finally learned how to get his body ready for a NFL season. Toss this in the pile too, Id be ok with Claudin Cherelus starting. I think Lloyd will elevate any player next to him and Claudin would break out, he's got the same health issues like Sanders.....he's climbing the mountain and pulls a hammy.  Plus since this a great and deep ILB group, the UDFA pool should have a few players that get overlooked.
