Madden 15 Features Cam Newton in "The Gauntlet"

The Huddler

Recommended Posts

The Gauntlet is a new game mode that will be in this year's Madden. As we all know, Cam lost for the cover vote, but EA has incorporated our QB in what seems to be a pretty cool mode!  The video below is by one of my favorite Madden heads. In this video, he shows the official trailer for the mode put out by madden, and then explains what it is. He gets early access to the game and goes to E3 and all of that stuff. He knows about all of the features and nuances but can only talk about them as EA releases information. Cam basically narrates this game mode. Take a look at the video and tell me what you guys think! I think its pretty sweet. Shopmaster explains Cam's role better during the video

Pretty cool if you ask me! Some won't care very much about this but as a Panther fan, its cool to see a Panther player featured in a game that I grew up with.

Subscribe to Shopmaster if you want consistent updates with Madden 15! He's not just a reactionary when these trailers come out, he knows a lot of the ins and outs as he gets special access. Visit his site at http://mymaddenpad.com/ !

Eh. Feel like they had this in my Madden 06 for the gamecube, but now they just added random circles of people. I miss the "training camp" mode where you did these drills during pre- preseason in franchise. I popped in 2k5 and love the presentation. Halftime and end of game highlights (actual highlight show) and the weekly sportcenter with highlights from other games, and ticker on bottom of screen of games around nfl. Don't know why Madden doesn't put it in. Everyone wants it. It shouldn't be that hard if it was in a game made in 2004.

In all honesty though I'm debating about getting an xbox one or ps4 for the new madden this year or next year. I can see madden giving 0 fugs about 360 players and making it crappier than the one version..

Yeah I agree the mjni camp modes for ps2 and Xbox were awesome. I'm hoping that with this next gen the gameplay is much better and we aren't cheated out. This gauntlet thing could end up making up for the mini camp stuff.

The biggest thing is that Cam is featured

I loved in head coach where you could create your own plays. The entire play calling system was pretty cool, tbh. You needed to have your team learn the play(s).. they would show a learned percentage of said plays and you would decide if it was worth trying to run that play on account of them maybe not knowing it.

Didn't it also keep track of a plays success percentages?

The main point of this thread was to point out Cam is a commentator for the mode. I was expecting to see a little more positive responses because of that. Lol

I would give madden 15 on the next gen a shot. I know madden has been a lazy greedy company but madden 15 might be what we want. I'm sure there will be cool poo for franchise mode

I think the mode will be fun.  I don't get all into it like some people and I don't have a way to play Madden.  I play when I got to my parent's house cause my dad does.  He doesn't have a ps4 or xbox one though.  So to the casual player, it's still fun as long as you're not buying the same game every year.  But I would give it another shot on the next gen consoles.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
