NFL Sunday Ticket Offering Standalone Streaming

For those of us who said FU to cable:

a bit more expensive than buying Madden last year, but still better than paying $100+/month for a bunch crap you're not going to watch anyway.  Glad to see they are finally accepting streamers as a legit audience, instead of continuing to fight us.

Wish it was exclusive to apple just to piss off sloth :) (macs rock)

I tried to sign up, says Im ineligible.  Apparently only certain cities and even restricted to certain dwelling types (neighborhoods?)   Perhaps just one small town in Nebraska, and only during the yak milking festival

The lowest tier plan, available for $199.99, allows NFL Sunday Ticket access on computers, tablets, and phones, while a $239.99 console plan allows access on console devices.

A mac isn't a "computer", an ipad isn't a "tablet", and an iphone isn't a "phone".  If i had to guess, I'd say it's not just for apple users.

(AP) — It had been a while since the Carolina Hurricanes had finished practice, with players coming and going from the locker room. Yet Logan Stankoven was still on the ice, leaving a crowd of reporters patiently waiting at his locker. Such is the dynamic for the 23-year-old as the Eastern Conference's top seed heads into Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to face the Philadelphia Flyers. Stankoven has been rolling at nearly a point-per-game pace going back to mid-March, including scoring in every game of Carolina's first-round sweep of Ottawa. Beyond the immediacy of that spotlight, though, is the other piece of Stankoven's story: the Hurricanes are betting he can keep growing into the role as second-line center, coming after spending multiple seasons searching for an answer there.
