i suppose youre right. and i know the man has had a tough year. i just hope this isnt something the rookies think they can do. especially with all the money we are paying DLo

And how much money he is getting paid has nothing to do with what is going on in his personal life.  He lost his mother and after all of the other family members that died of the same thing.  Its tremendous that he hasn't fell into a deep depression and can put a smile on his face.  Dlo got paid, produced and stayed on the field despite all the hardships over the past few years.  He has way more respect from his teammates and fans than the guy whose contract you should be lamenting over constantly.

i dont disagree with you. perhaps "pissed" was the wrong word for me to use. i am simply concerned that he is setting a bad example for the young players. i mean has he ever done this before in camp?

i am not faulting the man for the rough year he has had. but the fact is, he is a leader. and good leaders include themselves even in the activities that they´ve been through time and time again. and good leaders do that even in the midst of heartbreak and hardship.

its not that Deangelo has no right to sulk and be alittle distant from the huddle. i understand why he would. but as a leader, he needs to set a better example is all im trying to say

Another shot at the greatest panther of all time, stay classy. Don't be a hypocrite, if you want people to move on from Smitty then stop talking about what the fug he didn't do when he was here. He's the greatest Panther of all time and it really aint even close, he should be remembered for all the great things he did here and not for the things he didn't do. Like coach up some sorry ass receiver that can't even make the damn team. It's not like they brought a bunch of talent for him to work with anyway. If you want people like me to let it go, then how about you set the example because you sound bitter.

AceB, is Steve your dad? Let it go. Most of the people on this board respect and even love Steve. But like everyone in my family who I also respect and love, he is flawed.

I only stated a fact. I never saw Steve get a TD and do anything but let everyone know how great he is. Thats not a bad thing, its part of what made him great.

Cotchery replaced Steve as the elder Vet on the team, so a comparison is valid. Cotchery got the TD but instead of gloat, he spoke to a teammate about it and made sure he understood what was happening.

Strangely, my dad is a lot taller than Steve, but I'm a lot shorter. Funny how that works out. Why the hell are you guys even up this early?
