After looking at the new cap numbers (23 million) I agree with the move to cut Clowney, but in my opinion, your assessment couldn’t be further from the truth. According to PFF, Clowney was # 3 against the run as an OLB/Edge last year, and while he only had 5.5 sacks he was #13 for generating pass rush. He was surrounded by practice squad players for the majority of the year. In addition, very few players have played 10+ years in the NFL AFTER micro fracture knee surgery. He lost his bend and a lot of his athleticism his rookie year when he got the surgery. That is what you consider a lazy bum ?????? Like I said, few if any have done it. Dude wanted to be here. It’s home for him. It amazes me how some of you Huddlers treat players that rep the Carolina Panthers. Players surveys and player sentiment around the league will hurt us when it comes to bring in that prize free agent player that gets us over the top. Don’t be confused when they sign elsewhere. I personally love the south and the smaller city vibe, but we are competing against some prize destinations with big markets and low taxes. -

I think they only play 4 teams (TB twice) that made the playoffs last year
