Is joe webb making a case to keep three QBs on the roster

If DA could, he would not be a backup for us. Starters do not stay as backups.

Webb is still young and could be on the verge of turning his career around. We need to challenge him more with 1st and 2nd stringers to see what we got.

um yes they do. he has stated he doesn't want to leave because he likes his role and he likes being a backup. Im not saying he is otherworldly but are you trying to tell me he couldn't start for a team like the Jets? or Jacksonville?

I have no problem with challenging everybody on this team. But you were seriously suggesting we should cut DA for Joe Webb based on one performance against 3rd and 4th stringers. It's retarded.

Remember that playoff game Webb started? yea dude cannot throw the ball against #1's. All he can do is run.

If he could start, and he said that, that's just another way of saying he's lazy. He could make more money and boost his career starting elsewhere. But he's not. The guy has been a backup for 4 years now. There's a reason for that. It's because he is not starting material anymore. He's a backup and he likes being a backup here.

Again Webb is still young and a new environment could've really helped him out here. He could be on the verge of something with us.

You can't say Anderson could never be a starter because he is a backup here, and then at the same time anoint Webb based on one preseason game against third and fourth stringers. I was impressed by Webb's fire last night, but it was one game, let's keep it in perspective.

I fail to see your point. I'm saying they're both backups, but 1 has the possibility of being better than the other.

If you actually read my posts, I said I want him to be challenged by 1st and 2nd stringers to see if he is for real or not. And if so THEN see if he is worth keeping over DA.

Well I think it's safe to say that Webb will be getting more reps after the Blanchard performance we witnessed, so we will see.

No wonder the viking fired all the coaches, webb should have starting over freeman, ponder, and cassel or whoever! Still don't see him making the team, unless injuries lots of injuries happen. Guys we are very lucky to have DA as a backup, especially @ his pay. Imo he's a top 5 backup that's playing/ed for the vet min over last two years til 2016! I get the "hes not like cams legs" crowd, but still hes a former pro bowler with around 10,000 yards that wants to play here reguardless if he's starting or not. DA turned down more money plus a good chance at starting to stay here. Super lucky cause this really never happens.

Joe Webb is multi-talented as QB and WR, I think he would be an asset to the Panther team.  I was quite impressed with his execution on Friday.  There is room for improvement with time management, but that is an easy fix.

  :goodjob:    TEAM JOE!!!!!!
