All this over reaction over a preseason game. Last year it was the same...ugh.. you guys are bipolar or something. 

 

Except not. Last year we were 3-1 in the preseason.

 

And Luke basically destroyed the Ravens all by himself and had everyone thinking we would be pretty good.

 

Then we started 1-3 and didn't start winning until Rivera grew a pair.

 

Now we have a much worse OL than last year(which wasn't even all that anyway)

Our Safeties blow.

Timing is still off with Cam and the receivers.

We are 1 or 2 injuries away from a top 3 pick(not even counting QB) as only the DL/RB/LB positions have depth.

 

Plenty of reasons to be concerned....

Jeff Davidson is a trash OC as well but I'd take him over Shula in a heartbeat. He was the OC when "Double Trouble" came to be and we were pretty much always top 5 in rushing with him. We also scored the 2nd most touchdowns in franchise history under him in 2008....

 

He also didn't have a franchise QB like Cam.... Shula can't field a top 10 offense with one of the best QB specimens ever....

 

And that's about all you're getting from me since we don't exactly have a great history in regards to OC and the hiring of people like Davidson and Shula are sure as hell keeping us down.

...we had a vanilla offense and people were going nuts over that. It was bland, it was plain... IT'S PRESEASON MAN!!!  You're overreacting...much like the huddle did the last season. So like I said in the first statement.

Yea that's the problem...Shula's offense is always vanilla and bland...so he's actually in mid season form already.

Because. Preseason is preseason, does not matter. Houston was 3-1 and they had the first pick. It. Does. Not. Matter.  They aren't going to show all their cards right now. It would be stupid to.

Course it doesn't matter now but it will when one of our no name safeties get "dunked" on by Tampa(such a lame nickname and I don't want to hear those morons gloat if it happens) or played by Brees.

 

Once again NE didn't show any of their cards and moved the ball just fine. What do you think Cam would say about the offenses performance tonight? Think they are happy with it? Nope and they shouldn't be. 

 

Not sure how you figure they have to "show their cards" to get a few fuging first downs and have the starters put up a few points. Besides Shula doesn't have any cards to play anyway.

Why do people bring up preseason? Shula has been poo his entire career. Has always fielded bottom half offenses.

Reality. Until we have a bad season we can blame on the offense, Shula isn't going anywhere.

You guys should be enamored by Shula's tenacity. Not many coordinators would punch your smallest back up the gut almost every run play, whilst not getting but 2-3 yards. Then show the resilience to stick with the gameplan and make sure it eventually works. Power backs aren't needed in this league and we have two of the better work horses in the NFL. I  have high hopes that Ramsdell will be injecting some new life into the offense once the regular season starts.
