I honestly worry about the bucs this year, they will be MUCH improved.  Martin is a good versatile back, Evans and Vincent are decent outside options, and their line is solid.  The only question is their QB.  I think he will put up some more points than we'd like, BUUUT he's gonna turn the ball over. On offense, KB has something of a coming out party for 80-100 yards and a spectacular TD.  Stewwie gets rolling for 100 yards and a TD and Olsen gets in the endzone himself.  Panthers win this 24-20

Lines do not move because of who the sports books think is going to win.

The sports books could care less who wins.

An opening line is set at the point where the book believes an equal amount of money will be bet on both sides by the public.

If an equal amount of money is bet on both sides in a point spread contest, the book will win 4.5% of the total handle every time, regardless of which team wins.

This is because all point spread bets are at -110 in terms of the money line.

The odds on the Panthers game have shifted from Car-2,5 to as much as Car + 2.5

This shows that tons of money from bettors at large have been flowing Tampa's way.

The books have had to move the line 5 points in order to try and generate bets on Carolina.

A 5 point swing is huge in an NFL game and the books hate it---it a potential middling bloodbath.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
