Panther Realities, Week 1

Lets point out their starter is a career backup who showed why. Two absolutely bone headed INT's. 

 

This game should have been a blow out. 

 

Good, it'll be that much sweeter when we have Cam next time around. I'll take this win with our backup QB. Especially since everybody but the huddle counted us out.

How the fug are you not happy about winning? Game went brilliant up until the 4th quarter and our defense stood strong when needed. Also our defense was getting gassed and i am sure the heat wasn't helping. Still, a win is a win, regardless.

 

But hey, by all means be mad and hate the Panthers for winning.

Um this is a good win. Everybody expected us to lose with Cam and we went out there and won without him. There is some work to do still obviously but I feel pretty good right now.

don't forget that Gano missed a 48 yd FG, and DA missed an open 88 for a TD.  DA played well, but missed a couple of key throws in the 4th that would have put the game away.  We got a great away win to open the season, only an idiot wouldn't be happy with this game.

Now lets be serious, does anyone really think Cam would have played half as good as DA in his current state? This in gambling terms is what I would consider "playing with the house's money" Not only did we give our franchise QB a extra week to heal, we also won a game in the process.

 

Agreed. Definitely think it was best to play Anderson.

Not every game will be 110 degrees. As conditioning improves and temps lower, that will hopefully help our end-game.

The defense at the end of this game reminded me of our '03 defense at the end of the Super Bowl. Absolutely gassed. But we did dominate them through 3 quarters and with Cam would have likely been up by more than 17.

Also that freaking HORRIBLE roughing the QB call that lead to their first (or was it their 2nd?) TD opened the flood gates somewhat.

I'm glad we got away with the gamble, but the decision nearly bit us in the ass. And I don't think, I know that Cam would have guided us to an easy win.
