Goodell will be fired/resign by next week

As mentioned, that was before the video came out.

And as of today, you've got NOW lobbying for Goodell to be out and ESPN giving blanket coverage of this story.  They're repeatedly playing the interview where Goodell says "no one in the NFL has seen it" over and over.

Don't be too shocked if you see politicians from both sides calling for Goodell's ouster shortly.

This isn't just going away.

it's time for the pile on.

Organizations we've never heard of, politicians from all over will unite to take a stand on this

of course my cynical side is saying most of this will happen because it's an easy way for politicians to score brownie points with the press and public looking for someone to stand up for them

Well, this just came out!!

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/09/10/report-law-enforcement-sent-ray-rice-video-to-nfl-executive-months-ago/

Goodell is looking more and more like a lying sack of sh*t, which I always knew.

Are you serious?  That report is the very basis for this now 4 page thread.

Lookout guys!  We have a real sleuth on our hands here!

Of course it is. Elections are like 6 weeks away. That's why I said he's going to be fired/forced to resign, because there's going to be a ton of politicians come out of the woodwork screaming for his head.

It's true.  Mid-term elections are coming up.  It's gonna be a dogfight amongst the politicians to see who can get the most face time on this issue.

You are kidding me right? The opener between SEA and GB was the most watched opener in history and this was after Rice had been suspended. I'm sure you're outraged by the act but you are still watching football. Viewership = bottom line

Actually, sponsors=bottom line. If top sponsors get enough "I refuse to buy your product as long as you are supporting the NFL while RG is commish" type feedback, RG &/or the owners are going to be pressured for his ouster.
