11. Panthers (6): The defense didn't get to Ben Roethlisberger last week like they usually do at home (35 sacks in their previous nine home games) and they ran out of running backs vs. the Steelers. Ron Rivera isn't too happy Mike Tomlin's team ran for 264 yards on Carolina's defense -- the most rushing yards vs. the Panthers since 2008.

Wow, pretty generous imo. This week will tell us ALOT about this team. Another Pittsburgh performance and it may be a long year. But a bounce back game and we're right back to where we want to be.

Would love nothing more than for Cam and KB to go off! I'm not so worried about the Tolbert and Stew injuries. Our run game has been non exsistent anyway, I rather see a back like Seastrunk get some looks. Whether it be on tosses, screen plays or just something short out of the backfield. We're more build for something like that, I just hope Shula doesn't become stubborn and try and force things up the middle. Need to start calling plays that best suit your talent and not the opposite.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
