I heard the same. What Stewart received was near career-ending but he's still gonna see the field this season. Fans call him soft but if that were Mathews from San Diego he'd be looking into his second career right now.

I feel for Stewie. He can't seem to catch a break at all.

What was the exact injury?  "CAREER THREATENING"?  Wow.  I had only heard it was a knee sprain, but as I mentioned elsewhere, he also was having his ankle looked at right after it.

 

I haven't seen anything specific aside from them saying it was a knee sprain.  What kind or how severe, I haven't seen specified.  I didn't think a sprain would be considered career threatening though...  But, I definitely feel for Stew.  He's just hit a really unlucky streak.

Yeah, it helps he is built like a tank, but he keeps getting these unfortunate, fluke injuries.

 

Mitchell's tackle, as well as the Saints cheap shot on the sideline last year...  if that was a guy like Jamal Charles, for example, or any other player with a smaller/slight frame, that dude is out for a year or more.

I completely agree with this. He was visually upset on the field and on the way to the sidelines. He was ready to beast mode this year. It will unfortunately have to wait though.

On the topic of stewie. It seems like his style of play sets him up for these consistent injuries. He fights so hard, he almost always goes down awkwardly a few times a game.

Kind of reminds me of a certain middle LB that couldn't ever stay healthy because of his style of play.

Cam is a fuging machine. You will have to either tear a limb off or pull an organ out of him on the field for him to ever go on the injury report. Hell, the guy wanted to be out there a week after fracturing a rib
