Expect another inflow of yanks into Charlotte area

Yes, it's a very affordable city that's beautiful, great to raise a family, and find work. But there's more to life than that.

Charlotte is boring. If you can afford something like San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Seattle ... why on Earth would you pick Charlotte? So in essence ... Charlotte ... perfect for the middle class.

Boring?  There are actually many things to do in Carolinas.  If you "bored" living in Carolina then you really need to do something with your life.  I barely have any free time and most of my friends are in the same boat.

Um ... Charlotte and the Carolinas are two different things. I'm talking about the city. Not where you can drive to in 2-4 hours. Hell, even the lake isn't technically in Charlotte.

Ok.  Change whatever I said to Charlotte.  Same concept.

Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in the US for a reason.

New York:

Median Home Price: $295,300

Media Salary: $57,683

Charlotte:

Media Home Price: $164,100

Median Salary: $63,500

And I can assure you... Charlotte homes and land lots are waaay bigger than New York.

Charlotte - Cheaper housing and higher salaries.  You can stay in New York and and enjoy that clusterfug you call home.

Like I said in my original post, Charlotte is a great place to raise a family, is good for jobs, and is beautiful. Neat ... you have a big house and a lawn. That has nothing to do with me saying it's a boring city.

If you can afford it, there are much better options for people who want more than what Charlotte can offer them. So again ... perfect for the middle class.

Nope, people in Charlotte can afford much more than a nice house for cheaper.  People here can afford going out to nice restaurants without fighting for a seat.  People here can afford nice vacations... I've been to many tourists spots around US... you know who you don't see much?  New Yorkers...  As many Virgin Island as I visited, I never ran into one family from New York.  It must be sooo peachy in New York, New Yorkers don't wanna go anywhere or maybe they just can't afford it?

    • OK honestly I don’t identify like that but if I did I would think about being the first raised on TV generation (bad), we were probably latch key/before the term was invented - because I was raised by a single working parent, stuff like that. No baby sitters until after dark. Afternoons you just waited for an adult to show up. We were the bussing generation where they tried out their social engineering and forcing the races together in school (good and bad in that), and definitely the first bunch to have to deal with the threat of the big bomb going off. I, like everybody else was taken out in the hallway at school and taught how to and where to sit and receive my radiation dose if someone nuked us. And then they killed our president right in front of us. That is probably the most destabilizing thing that gets the least attention. The atomic bomb and the potus killing.  Around t(e same time we had the Beatles and music becoming a youth thing, with the youth gaining economic power they still have today, and top it off with a good memory of childhood - all tne Coke bottle caps had pictures of NFL players in them. We collected them. I particularly remember Mick Tinglehoff Minnesota Vikings lol. Complete with flattop haircut. We had pro football before there was ever a super bowl and in those days baseball was the king of sports in the US.But football was coming for them. And soccer was what weird funny talking foreigners did lol.
    • When Kenny Pickett's arm looks noticably zippier than your starting QB you know problems are ahead.
    • Correction, meant to say Seattle had a limited passing attack in the SB.  Darnold did do enough to win.
