Dave Gettleman?

How is questioning Gettleman a stupid thread? Because you don't like it?

He is the reason we are getting blown out for the second game in a row and why our franchise QB is getting beat to a pulp every week while the best player in our franchise's history lights us up for the Ravens benefit.

hardy changed everything

Exactly, which is why it pisses me off that Goodell stepped in instead of leaving Rivera on his own to defend "his decision" to sit Hardy. I couldn't wait to start the "fire Rivera for sitting Hardy for no reason" chant. He still might be fired after this season falls apart, but you can't pin the decision not to play Hardy on him now, like it would've been. Defense is shot. As always any team can replace an anchor for one game (Detroit). After that...you have the last two weeks.

    • Care to elaborate why you disagree? We kicked the ball off 3 times and we kept the Browns to starting field position of the 22, 27, and 10 (would have been 21 before a penalty). All 3 of those are successes with the modern kickoff rule.
    • Its August so obviously quality options are not there. The question is whether any improvement can be made to the bottom of the depth chart.
    • NFL has a huge amount of parity.  The talent level between most NFL starters outside of the top 5 to 10 guys at a position is very comparable.  2020 worst teams Jacksonville Jaguars - 1-15 (worst record in NFL) New York Jets - 2-14 Cincinnati Bengals - 4-11-1 Atlanta Falcons - 4-12 Houston Texans - 4-12 Carolina Panthers - 5-11 Detroit Lions - 5-11 Philadelphia Eagles - 4-11-1 Los Angeles Chargers - 7-9 Denver Broncos - 5-11 2024 Worst teams New York Giants - 3-14 (tied for worst) Cleveland Browns - 3-14 (tied for worst) Tennessee Titans - 3-14 (tied for worst) New England Patriots - 4-13 Carolina Panthers - 5-12 Jacksonville Jaguars - 4-13 Las Vegas Raiders - 4-13 New York Jets - 5-12 Chicago Bears - 5-12 Arizona Cardinals - 8-9 Bengals, Texans, Lions, Eagles, Broncos and the Jags have all made the the playoffs in the last 3 years. What I'm saying is it's stupid to argue when team is the worst when there is so much parity and the system allows quick turnarounds.
