The defense looked a hell of a lot better when they were blitzing the living crap out of Dalton and forcing bad throws. It leaves you vulnerable to silly little screens though.

That defense was feared last year. What a difference Hardy makes.

S play was better last year....

Nickel CB play was signicantly better too.

S play was definitely better. Decoud isn't bad, but he's not good in run support like Mitchell was. Decent in coverage. Harper...man, the guy tries, and he does get some opportune picks here and there, but he's just not good at anything else. Below average in coverage, horrible in run defense. 

 

I think we would have forced more stops if we had Bene and Norman today. Bene is so much better at nickel than Godfrey. Godfrey is a waste of a roster spot at this point. I would rather Dockery play nickel over Godfrey. Dude should be cut after the season.
