"Who has the ball in their hands the most?"

Lol, I'm glad you understand. The guy who has the ball in his hands the most is probably going to be talked about the most and will probably have the most fans. So cut it out with the cult talk, son.

Speaking about Luke and the defense.

Panther fans got lulled into believing Rivera and the defense was actually legit.

Remember, the defense has actually only been good for one season (2013). And even that year, they blew several games early in the season. People forget, how bad they were in 2011, and the first half of 2012.

I guess, 2013 was Rivera's career year? However, when you look at his coaching, he's very sloppy and misses too much, the finer things (we thought he may have overcome his situational coaching lapse/learning curve, but he has not).

More importantly, he'd rather rely on his defense through out his Panther coaching career, than his better offense, and/or QB!

Defense is once again gabage in 2014!

Im curios how the Panthers have done in the over under category this year. They are just not good.

What cracks me up is the hoops some of you jump thru on your failed attempt at trying to catet me.

Meanwhile I was call for Cam around week 4....of his senior year. I enjoy a good laugh though so thanks.

no one's jumping through hoops, you're saying stupid things and getting called on it

Hugh Jackson should be the offensive coordinator for this team right now, any head coach would have made that call if they really cared about the offense and their QB. And it WAS Rivera's call, remember we didnt have a GM at that time.

Yup, he was too worried about the possibility of clashing personalities, or his job status if the Panthers sucked.

Who cares about Shula. He could have continued to be Cam's QB coach.

It would have been great to see Jackson size up Cam and his supporting cast, then build an offense around him.

not in this thread per se.

More often than not yes. And im not being called on anything. Please.

Oh im spot on with the cult comment. It just hits closer to home than you care to admit.

I have no issue with the % of threads and what is discussed. Its the bizarre twisted allegiance to a player over the team with little to no objectivity of his performance.

Yeah I'm about to paraphrase Ghandi in the Panthers forum.

It isn't Cam I have a problem with. It's his followers.

Son.

you're full of yourself

This is an interesting point. However, we can't dismiss the fact that we have so many fuged contracts that talent plays a part in it too. We added some decent pieces and Hardy had a breakout year

But I wonder since Rivera came from a 3-4, why didn't he implement that system here or the fact maybe he's better with the 3-4???

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
