not as good as a win but better than a loss.  i would have loved to see them rush to the line on 4th and 1 there in OT and give Cam a chance to pick up the first down and take the win like we should have had in regulation.

it's so very simple, im kinda surprised but shouldnt be all the confusion by what a tie means.  the final standings are ranked by wins, then losses.  so, if there are two 10 win teams in question, the team with only 5 losses is ahead of them automatically.

Extremely disappointed. Like I said offense scores 37 points we should win the game. And for us, defensively, if we sit around and feel good about ending in a tie, we're missing it. (paraphrased)

Have you ever played sports?  How many times after a loss did you have a slightly differing opininon than whoever was coaching?  So are you saying Rivera is losing the locker room or just something else profound that I'm not picking up?  The defense played terrible and TD missed a tackle for three yard gain that turned into a 90yard touchdown.  Rivera was angry too.

This board was split roughly 50/50 yesterday on people who were ok with the tie and others that felt like it was a loss. Maybe accepting mediocre comes with being a long time Panthers fan, I don't know. I do know that no self respecting competitor is ok with a tie, especially given how that game was ended.

Judging frpm the press conference Marvin Lewis definitely treated this tie as a loss,it seemed pissed off!

Ah, that's what I thought.  So for the dummies like me out there - a team will have to have one more win than us to take the division, we have the tiebreaker on everyone.

Effectively, unless there is another tie in the NFC, our playoff status will be determined by wins and losses and nothing else.
