You are Gettleman: knowing what you know now do you sign hardy to a big ass deal?

  1. 1. Pay him?

    • Pay the man
    • Let him walk after the season

All of you who think Hardy is going to sign a cheap deal, you're going to have to wake up and smell the coffee.  This is his livelihood.  He will only be guaranteed at least one big payday in his career.  His next contract after this upcoming one will be significantly less due to age, so he's going to get as much as he can right now.  There are always teams out there willing to pay.  Especially if he's found innocent.  So, unless the Panthers pony up the dough, he will be gone next year.  I think the money should be used elsewhere.

What do I want? Hardy resigned. I also want one night alone with Katy Perry.

Sadly, neither of these things are going to happen.

You will find no bigger supporter of Hardy on the Huddle than me. I'm an Ole Miss homer so I was a Hardy fan way before he donned Panther blue. Dude is a freakish athlete with a voracious work ethic and a relentless motor on the field; not to mention a ball of personality. However, this team cannot afford to tie up $9-$12 Million a year in a guy with this much non-sense hanging over his head. Letting Hardy walk and get a fresh start in a new city is the best thing for everyone involved. Lets just hope he doesn't sign with the Falcons, Saints, or Bucs.

This just occured to me. We can now probably sign Hardy for much less since A. he sat out half the season and B. the obvious off field issues. I still don't think he comes back here after this year and if i'd like to see if there is a difference with him on the field. I mean if there is, pay the man. ESPN kept stating tonight that everyone is trying to bully the niners into benching or cutting their guy. I give them kudos for not giving in. We should have done the same, but it's JR.

Of course i would resign the Kraken because on the football field he is one of the best in the buisness at what he does and why, would i want to see another team reap the fruits of our labor?and he wants to be a Panther on top of all that.
