Holy poo, those threads are ridiculous but there are a lot of dickheads in that thread.

It's bad to say that you are leaving. But, whats the point to then go in and just simply insult or post a picture which is even more lame since it is never original content? It's not cool or edgy to put some witty meme statement from 2009. It's annoying as hell and does happen way too much here.

It's like a driveby poster just coming, saying they disagree and insults you then not following it up with reason or accountability.

Yeah I won't argue with you over the image macro spamming on this site now but two years ago it was something that was at least somewhat new and hadn't been beaten to death yet.

The drive by shitposting and dogpiling to try to be that funny guy is just annoying now but I can understand why people did it. It was sort of like a quick way to point out the absurdity of a post or topic. I mean really what's the point of making some grandiose 'goodbye thread' wagging your finger at the userbase for this or that? It smacks of attention whoring.

Ya know, I actually will attest to this.  I actually met a gorgeous, like 10/10 chick on the internet, from 4chan of all places.  She posted a timestamp picture and we ended up chatting on AIM and Skype for a few months.  She flew me out to Texas and I banged the hell out of her until my pee pee was bruised and tearing.  6' blond, perfect figure, yoga instructor, and just the type of crazy to be on /b if you can imagine it all coming together.  Hell, our first meal was even perfect for 4chan, we had a trap as a server at Steak and Shake.

I've also been accused of having a double standard when it comes to this, given my repetitive jokes in the direction of Jester (concerning his sheep) and JR (concerning his sexual behavior). The difference is that these two fine individuals, for whom I have a lot of respect, have apparently consented to this sort of thing.
