Our starting Left Tackle

We found our franchise quarterback, big picture is protecting him. We've gone dirt cheap at LT, and RT already, and it isn't working.

We have no LT, LG, RG or RT. It isn't just the Ts that stink.

If you get away from Carolina and just look at good OLs in general.....good OLs aren't rooted at having elite C play. It isn't that vital.

I think G play is huge for a Cam offense and that is why it drove me crazy people acted all offseason like T play was the only concern.

Kalil is basically the one guy left other than Olsen that Cam came into the league trusting, he's a leader on this team.

Like I said in another thread, there are other factors, it isn't just a cut and dry matter of replacing a player with a cheaper player.

Not only would it send the wrong message to Cam before we've even had a chance to sign him to a long term contract, but we have no guarantees that the new Center will be on the level of talent people are expecting at such a low cost. It has a high percentage of backfiring.

heres my issue or knock on Edmund Kugilba is that he was a guard who only managed 8 starts out of a whopping 10game schedule during his final year at Valdosta State, once again,as a result of not being in football shape, but more importantly,i mentioned Kugilbas name because for one he was better suited at guard rather than tackle where we have glaring needs that need to be addressed asap and two is DGs inability to spot talent at the tackle position and that echoes true with two names Byron Bell and Nate Chandler.so,even though i like DG,i consider evaluating talent for the oL is by far his biggest weakness.

so really your point is hey we need tackles so gett should have drafted a tackle instead of kugbila with that pick

aka let's draft for need in the 4th round

edmund kugbila played tackle in 2011 then converted to guard in 2012 during his time at Valdosta State.so,i am not exactly sure where DG or RR planned to play this guy but imo,he would be better suited at the guard position for the NFL.

That wasn't superior athleticism....that was a LB bull rushing our LT like he was a 4 yr old girl.

He was beat by the first step. He didn't get overpowered, he go out leveraged. There is no amount of strength that could make up for the fact his feet weren't in the right place. He didn't lack strength on that play. It was footwork.

After those years I screamed at my TV when he was sucking ass on the right side, I can't even imagine why they would move him to LT thinking he would be better. At least on the right side, Cam could see if Bell was getting his ass whooped. It's a good thing Cam has eyes in the back of his head because that could have been VERY serious if he didn't feel that pressure. Imagine Bell's enormous ass falling on Cam. Dodged a bullet there. Is it possible that we have the worst tackle pairing in the history of the NFL?

has to be the worst in history , i know we never had a worse pair of tackles ever

I can't think of any worse. I've watched football for a long time and I don't think I have EVER seen any as bad as Bell and Chandler. Maybe I am overexaggerating, but I don't think I am.
