Rivera's conference

pretty shitty for a coach to single out one player on a team full of underachievers.

His modus operandi of calling out the better players on the team baffles me. I get what he's saying that KB cannot be dropping those balls but he's a rookie and we can't put that much pressure on him. Where are the vets to step up?

Some of you are so blinded by your hate for some and love for others it's sickening. Benjamin played mostly well. But his easy drop in the endzone was a HUGE, HUGE, Kelvin Benjamin-sized mistake that very well could have cost us the game.

If you're a coach and you believe that a game came down to one play then you are a bad coach. It is as simple as that. Games don't ride on one play. They don't ride on 5 plays. You' can, however, pin a loss on perpetually poor coaching and personnel decisions. Wonder whose shoulders get that portion of the blame.

You know, it's almost like Benji is a rookie and was being defended by the best CB of the last five years, while getting the ball slapped out of his hands.

But sure, let's blame the guy who did the most right on offense.

So you are saying he didn't drop the pass and it wasn't a huge play?

I'm saying that he was defended against. If that's the one play that sticks out in your mind the most about the game, then you obviously have no recollection of what actually happened in the game yesterday.

    • Why would we not be contenders? As long as Bryce plays like he did when he came back, we absolutely can be contenders...that is...   if the defense plays better... which is why adding someone like Ramsey when we have a QB on a rookie deal and can afford it makes sense IMO. No one thought of the Commanders being contenders last year or the Texans the year before and so on and so forth. Top-end QB play, especially for a guy on a rookie deal, changes everything in terms of timelines. Regardless of what this board thinks, I hope the front office is willing to he aggressive in thks window we currently have with a rookie QB deal
    • Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.
    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
