Top T's have been busting lately

Was looking at PFF's T grades and some big names in the draft are at the bottom of the rankings.

Luke Joeckel (59th) -9

Eric Fisher (65th) -14

Matt Kalil (71st) -25

Jake Mathews (72nd) -31 *Dead Last*

Knew Lane Johnson was gonna be a beast. Had some great tape.

Next years draft will be interesting for us. We can not afford to miss on our T selection. We need to do some great evaluations and at least get a serviceable starting RT.  Preferably LT though.

Interesting that Anthony Collins (who everyone thought we should throw a truckload of money at) is ranked 61st, Michael oher (who we had to sign ASAP, give him what he wants!!1) is 69th, Seantrel Henderson (ugghhhh couldn't we have drafted him in the 6th!!) is 68th, Anthony Munoz err James Hurst is 64th, and Morgan Moses (he was a steal in the 3rd round!!!1) isn't even on the list because he can't beat out Tyler Polumbus who is 63rd and has given up almost as many sacks as chandler and bell put together.

Coaches can be stupid and leave better players on the bench. So we should refrain from making judgments on Moses until he gets on the field.

IIRC, he got on the field when Polumbus got hurt and gave up a sack almost immediately

Small sample size.

Same advice still applies. Give it / him some time.

You gotta let players play and gain experience and get caught up to the speed of the NFL.

Most players look underwhelming when they enter the league.

Greg Robinson as well. #2 overall and not even on the map! DJ Fluker's safely in the red as well with a -6.6.

I don't think we're picking in the top 10 anyway. Our schedule is too soft and we might even steal this division after all. Assuming we pick in the teens, DB or maybe even WR again may be the right play in the first. We obviously need FA help at OT anyway regardless of the draft (Veldheer is in the green at least and Albert appears to be a monster and worth his huge price $$$).

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
