Greg Cosell talks Cam and the Saints game

I know who Cosell is and what he does, and I've heard his Cam obsession every Friday morning for the past year on WFNZ.

What part of I don't care about his reputation or credentials don't you get?

He ignores everything that goes into what dictates what Cam does on a given play, and in doing so he half does his job. If Cam's line blows up in his face, only a fool would fixate on the fact that his footwork was bad. OF COURSE IT WAS. How can your footwork be good when the defense is shoving one of your O linemen up your nose?

Even when Cosell acknowledged last Friday that a bad line may be in Cam's head, he did so in a way that ***suggested*** that Cam might be SEEING GHOSTS out there like David Carr, and might be scarred by this for the rest of his career, which again, is on him to get over, of course. He pulled that angle straight out of his @$$ instead of questioning Gettleman or the line. Instead, he made excuses for the young LT getting his first start, and being put in a tough situation.

In other words, there are good reasons when anyone besides Cam fails to Cosell. It's not like Cam has the good OL that every QB wants. He's supposed to make them better too, I guess, just like when Cosell talked away Benjamin's dropped pass in the endzone, by suggesting that drops are sometimes the QB's fault, lol.

You ever wonder as you lie in bed at night and you are going over the days events and you recall Cosell on WFNZ and ever come to the conclusion why he just happens to talk about Cam on that particular radio show? In that particular market?

I mean why not share his film stufies of Mike Glennon or Ryan Fitzpatrick?

I wonder why he always talks about Cam ON WFNZ THATS A RADIO STATION IN CHARLOTTE?

You mean the radio station that calls him regularly to talk about Newton?

Yeah.  Can't figure why he's doing that

Are you clueless?

Last time I checked, the Panthers are in this market, which means that Shula and Rivera are in this market, which means that the receivers that drop balls are in this market, which means that Roman Harper is in this market, which means that EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH THE PANTHERS IS IN THIS MARKET, so again, why is Cosell so fixated on Cam Newton and nothing else about the Panthers?

Because he's a moron, just like you, apparently.

Some where there was a hurricane in Tokyo due to the massive swing and miss by you on this.

Dude.

Newton literally threw 1 INT versus the Saints, and he had a rushing touchdown.

Andrew Luck threw like what, 7 INT's through two playoff games last year?

Also, did you not watch the recent Super Bowl? Peyton Manning was abysmal, and this is coming from someone who likes Peyton.

Brees had a game just two years ago versus the Falcons where he threw for 0 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

All QB's experience ups and downs. It's how they react to it and move forward from there that defines them.

Yep. Cam has a "bad game", which is just below average for other QBs, and everyone gets retarded. What about the drops?

You would think year 4 as a coaching staff is when you try and build some consistency with your program. You cant when you only sign guys for 1 year deals. It a constant turnover. That mixed with injury and retirements you're going to get a melting pot or a cesspool. We're a cesspool.

    • This draft is 2023 all over again, it's not hard to see. QB's who don't grade out as high first round prospects while at the same time, the following draft class looks to be loaded with elite QB prospects. Drafting a QB just because you need one (or making a bad trade to make said draft pick), when there isn't one worthy of that draft pick, is how you ruin franchises, just look at us right now.
    • I upgraded to the S24+ a few weeks back. Very happy with it.
    • LOL... Yet again proving you can't look below anything than what you see on the surface Mock drafts ARE NOT draft grades They are what people think will happen.  They are mocking teams taking QB's in the top 5 of the draft because that's just historically how drafts go regardless of the grades on the QBs.  Almost every draft expert, even those mocking QB's going high, have said time and time again that none of these QB's actually grade out as those type of picks. This is again, where I say you don't like to actually read what I have to say, because I already explained it. 2022 the exact same thing happened, mock drafts had guys like Pickett and Willis going in the Top 5 because that's just what teams usually do, but GM's listened to their prospect grades and knew they weren't worth taking that high, so they didn't. It's not to say QB's won't go that high this year, but it's to say that they aren't graded out as elite QB prospects.   And yes, I've never said I'm not a T-Mac homer. But me being that doesn't change that he will be the highest graded offensive player in this year's draft, at a position we haven't been able to solve since we lost Smitty.  Taking him makes all the sense in the world, my bias aside.
