New strategy by Panthers front office and coaching staff: Let's all take dumps in Cam's mouth

Good for Shula especially since his was the most egregious of all on the surface. Still leaves Rivera's comments and this anonymous Panther official or officials that have now leaked anti-Cam stuff twice in the past month.

I also asked Bill on twitter what he thought of leaving Cam in for the entire game on MNF and he said "thought that was mind-boggling and pretty much indefensible".

I agree... still don't understand what Rivera was thinking there, nor with his post game comments.

Sadly, that can be said of Rivera a lot.

Someone asked Daniel Jeremiah on twitter the same thing during the game...

@davidteaton: @MoveTheSticks Why is Newton playing?

@MoveTheSticks: @davidteaton makes no sense

The world became educated on Monday night as to what's really going on in Carolina. Anyone who understands football can see the real issues

I find it interesting that for several threads on Monday the jist was that the franchise needed to talk to the fans and explain why things are going so poorly.  But when they do and you don't like the answer then you beat them up for saying anything.

BTW do I think I would have said what they did or went into his attitude and being moody.  No I don't.  I would have said he is just a reflection of what is happening on the field when you lose and you don't have guys around him picking him up.  But that is just me. I don't think you throw anyone under the bus.  But it is mental and that is clear.  I just wouldn't have said things like they did.

The only time he has actually looked elite was last year under Shula. Look at the stats and his fourth quarter comebacks last year.  get a grip people.

So Cam didn't lead comebacks in his 2nd year only for the defense and special teams to lose it?

Everyone knows Peyton, Brady, Rodgers, Brees are the 4 elite QBs of the NFL. That's it.

Saying your QB isn't one of the elites yet isn't a knock. A reality you probably don't need to talk about but you become elite over years and years and years. There is an elite-ish tier below them but everyone knows there is a difference between Big Ben and those guys too.

From what was posted, it looked like enough context to make the claim that Shula said something incredibly stupid. Even if you throw that out, you still have this preponderance of really insulting, inflammatory stuff coming elsewhere from the organization.

Dumb for saying it...yes

Wrong...no

Cam is NOT elite....yet. He has the potential. But he is not there yet.
