Official Panthers - Falcons Gameday Thread

Yeah, but his 4th quarter play GAVE US THE LEAD IN THE GAME.

So convenient that a long-time Cam hater like you left that out.

I have said multiple times that Cam's play in the 4th was fantastic and spectacular. But, his bad play for 3 quarters is what made that spectacular play necessary.

Not sure why he gets in funks for much if a game and then flashes excellence. That us what I want him and the coaches to solve...and yes, I do think a coaching change is warranted and needed.

All of his fanboys disregard the 75% shitty play and throw out the 25% that was great. He is the definition of a very talented yet wildly inconsistent QB.

A QB getting in a groove is usually because the OC calls a series of plays that succeed that GETS HIM INTO THAT GROOVE.

Except for people like you, y'all think Cam just needs to pull that groove out of his ass at random times on his own, even if his WRs drop the damn ball, fail to finish their routes, OL fails to block, RBs fail to gain a yard, and OC goes into his retard funk.

BUT GET INTO YOUR GODDAM GROOVE CAM!  WE NEED YOU TO BE PERFECT AND TO MAKE UP FOR THE REST OF THE TEAM'S CONSTANT fug UPS!  AND IF YOU CAN'T DO THAT *fug* *YOU*!

It happens to a lot of QB's.

And when in a funk Cam doesn't have the weapons, Oline, running game or play calling that other young QB'S have to get them out of it.

So, if Rivera called a pass there and we took a sack, what % of posters on here would be calling for his head for being so stupid as to try and pass when we were in FG range, I would put the over/under at 95%

I'm not even factoring that in, honestly.

We lose the game and everybody's screaming no matter how it happened.

I'm stating what I think he should have done.

I think he did today..the falcons defense is that bad.

Today's funk and his demeanor on the sidelines is the most concerning to me.

OL was playing well....defense was playing great...passing game still looked bad.

Not sure why...that is what I hope they figure out.

How about on every 3rd and short play your OC is calling for plays that need a perfectly place balls instead of safe passes that gives the WR a chance to make the play. Even Matt Ryan got a lot of short routes where the WR sits in a Zone and runs for a 1st down instead of lob passes.

    • Watched the recent Mic'd up which had the Bucs game. This angle makes that fumble look so much worse, pretty sure it was inbetween Bryce's hands.   bbb.mp4
    • Here is what you did not mention (and I have not read the thread--but will--it is a needed) and that is the MAFF.  He is in a contract year (2026-5th year) and we will not know (in all likelihood) how the knee is healing by the time we have to decide on a mega deal.   If you consider the time it takes to fully heal is 12 months if all goes well, the injury is known to shorten careers.  Of course, a man of 330 lbs who needs agility to perform at a high level makes the injury a bit more serious than it was for Jimmy Graham, for example, who recovered in a remarkable 9 months.  Having said all that, I think he should be moved inside to guard.   While many NFL linemen can return to play after patellar tendon surgery, studies show a significant failure rate and reduced performance, with return-to-play (RTP) rates often cited around 50-56%, meaning roughly 44-50% don't make it back, and even those who do often see reduced careers and statistics, highlighting it as a devastating injury for linemen." I think you have to go after an elite OT, and I think it should be a first rounder because you don't sign elite LTs in free agency.  Ickey is already going to get paid $18m or so in 2026.    However, the money you save by not locking him down long term could go to a free agent edge or ILB.  It is very complicated if you start factoring in contracts, risks, cap, and the odds of recovery.
    • Yes, we played the 2nd most cover 3 in the NFL behind the Raiders.   The flats and seams are the areas you want to attack it so its soft spots are areas qbs can hit quickly which can definitely hurt the pass rush.
