What sort of rage is unleashed if Olsen isn't retained?

wanna know something else?

thomas davis' cap hit is about to be $9.9 million in 2015

$7.5 million in cap savings if he's a post-june 1 cut

get your pitchforks ready

Oh wow I hadn't even considered that.

TD hasn't been the same Pro Bowl player he was last season, but he is ABSOLUTELY still a great player that you would be foolish to get rid of.

No worries we will load up on CFL and arena league players to go along with the hit and miss draft picks and flops who want to revitalize their careers.

Panthers may not attract any key players or be enticing to the key players currently here, but stick with project Gettleman and we will be fine.

Remember the answers are already on the roster.

If we let him leave and I hear "the answer is on the roster" I will renounce the team forever.

Having gotten that out of the way, as long as Greg is productive we have to keep him here.  We've gotten a bit of a deal with him over the last few years but guys of his caliber don't become available through free agency and drafting is always a crap shoot so we need to man up and pay to keep him, assuming he wants to stay.

.... For what it's worth I hope he stays. He's the hardest hitter on the team.

That play and hit he mad on Hester against the Falcons was awesome.  At first I did not know who it was, but all I saw was some guy come out of nowhere and blast him.  Of course when they showed the replay on the big screen, I saw it was Davis.

Doesn't TD's cap number fall dramatically after 2015, or is that just some cap space mumbo jumbo that I don't understand?  If so, it might be worth keeping him next season just to get some cap friendly seasons from him afterwards.

yep $2 million per year.  it might be worth it to restructure and push some of that 2015 cap hit off on the later years because they're relatively cheap.
