Manhunt on 485 and Ballantyne?

I just had a nice dinner with my fiancé and on our way home we witnessed what appears to be a manhunt going on. Police have traffic on 485 stopped and they seem to be patrolling all the neighborhoods along Ballantyne Commons. Google hasn't yielded much. Does anyone know what's going on?

It was hit-and-run on 485 which turned into mahunt.

That's a first time I hear that hit-and-run turned into all out manhunt...

Police need something to do with all their fun SWAT gear and military toys.

Funny story about something that happened where I live. Was coming home and saw at least half a dozen cop cars in the parking lot outside these apartments, along with an ambulance and one of those big square police/SWAT vans. Tons of officers, one group of them even had on riot gear along with those guns that shoot bean bags. My friend even commented that it looked like a freaking standoff / hostage situation.

So what was it over? We found out later that two 20 something guys got into a little scuffle and someone saw it and called the cops just to see if they could come check it out. Just a minor fist fight, no weapons, no real serious injuries even. One of those situations where police or ambulance aren't even really necessary.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
