Black Monday

No shock.  The first people out of a job are Rex Ryan and staff, including GM John Idzik.

There's nobody from the Jets staff that I'd be all that interested in right now except maybe Marty Mornhinweg as an OC if Shula is replaced.

The Bears, Raiders and Falcons are all expected to follow suit later.  Might be some more interesting names there.

Obviously, the Panthers wont be participating.

Trestman surprised me, didn't they just hire him the other day?

Last year.

That staff has a couple of good prospects in Joe DeCamillis (ST) Aaron Kromer (OL) and Matt Cavanaugh (QB).

But again, we're not firing any assistants just yet, and depending how the playoffs go, maybe not at all.

(even if we rightly should)

So who is going to be the surprise fire?

My money is on whisenhunt.

You might wanna hang on to your money.

The Titans owner has already said he won't be firing Whisenhunt (or Ruston Webster).

Kromer is the Bears offensive coordinator.

His background is OL, and I think he's better at that.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
