Where do you rank the current Seahawks D on the all time list?

Their defense wasn't anywhere near as good as last year until they played a 6-game stretch to close out the season where they faced nothing but back up QBs and a struggling Kaepernick/49ers (that lost to the fuging Raiders).

Their defense was actually, in Sherman's own words "mediocre" up until that point.  But of course, the media doesn't acknowledge this teensy inconvenient little fact in their hype fest.

That D was way better last season.  Don't get me wrong, the team is still fuging good, but that defense is being severely overrated right now in my opinion.

For comparison's sake, at least we've shutdown legit offenses this past month other than the Cards and Rams 4th and 5th string QBs and RBs.

As much as New Orleans and Atlanta suck... offense isn't much of a problem for them.

So you could probably make the case for our defense being as good or better than theirs right now.

    • I never thought a second look was even necessary. I was begging the football gods not to have us trade up to the 1st pick. And damn once we did it was a thoroughbred vs a little pony.    If you have a perceived generational player in the pool and you have the 1st pick, you just don’t trade it. In the first place. But all this Bryce drama - which (understandably) takes over almost any thread, just like this one - would never have happened if the team was not sold to Tepper.
    • I agree. I understand why he did though. And surely he had his parents in his ear who have always gone out of their way to make sure he always had the best and the least amount of adversity around him to that point in his life advising him to do so. Where I take the most issue with it is when people who just want to be sycophants start listing off other QB's who didn't throw at the combine and you don't even make it through half the names before your eyes roll right into the back of your head realizing every single of those QB's who didn't throw already clearly showcased the necessary prerequisite physical talents needed for the position.
