I can only imagine if NE gets a hold of him or fitz next year they're gonna be sick

Their window of opportunity is this year. They're already over the cap for next year and thats without key pieces on their D like McCourty and Revis. And Brady already has declined significantly and will continue to do so at an exponential rate. Within 3 years I guarantee you they will be 3rd or 4th in their division.

They will get one of them. That's just how NE rolls.

Don't have cap room for either, if they keep Revis next year. Trading Revis for one of those two would not be worth it for them, so unless Revis wants out of New England, they won't get either.

Torrey Smith reminds of the Brandon LaFell in a Panthers uni. He will have some monster games, then disappear for 5 weeks

Not seeing that too much. 11 tds is pretty good with steve smith on the other side of him. He can stretch the field to where the sidewalk ends with an arm like Cam. Plus I think he's just a better receiver than a Lafell.

Mr. Bundchen re-did his contract week before last to free up $24 mill-e-yun dol-lars for New England to play with. Their window is open a couple more years, unfortunately.

That's deceiving. It's not opening up $24M next season, it's over the course of his entire contract. Even counting that, they are slightly above the cap still.

He's still really good going off last season. I think at this point of his career, he just wants to win. I think he'll take less money if he feels we are a team on the brink.

And yes, I'll accept him with open arms on a 2yr deal. Still has decent speed, is big and plays like it and is a good route runner with vet savvy.

Yes, we need a speed WR on the outside but him signing won't stop GMan from acquiring one in the draft. BM can also play in the slot. Imagine KB and speed WR split out wide, with BM in the slot and Olsen too? Poo who's stopping that?(Especially if the o-line is better too)

More hog mollies for me. Best way to defend the pass is pressure the QB. That's why we're set up to own the NFC South for a while. Atlanta, Tampa, and Nawlins would rather draft and sign CBs and Safeties. Their lines get weaker every year.

    • Sound write-up MHS, as always.  Agree that the smart move that forward thinking franchises make would be drafting a tackle early, if not for sure in R1, depending on who's there. Based on early predictions we're choosing between Fano and Proctor. No brainer here...Fano all day. Proctor does not move the needle for me. In my mind, Icky has less future here than Brooks does. I love Icky, but he has been average as a top-10 pick, one good year where you saw the potential...and that was this year. He's built like a RT and his strengths are there, but he's always played left. I also feel like part of what has held him back from being elite, was his work ethic. He was known for it coming out, but feel like he fell right at home in Carolina and maybe didn't push himself as hard as he needed to. Throw in a major crucial injury that will take time to recover and a historical low return rate to current form, and the outlook is not great. Fano can play both sides and we need to also plan for Moton's departure. Either way, delaying drafting a tackle early this year will hurt us down the line. Our current OL is overpriced and needs to start adding draftees to start balancing out the inevitable changes coming in the next 2-3 years.  As others have said, maybe Icky can replace Hunt or Lewis in a couple years when he's fully recovered....IDK. Also not a guarantee, but then you have to figure out his contract and it becomes even more clouded.
    • It's past time to just eliminate it in terms of an event. Just do the voting, name the roster, and move on. When you get down to 6th and 7th alternates it's just absurd. It doesn't mean anything.
