sadly, it might be.

stewart was interviewed after the cleveland game and was asked if he was trying to score on his 30 yard run late in the fourth quarter to seal the game.

his answer was yes...he said he wasn't sure if he was supposed to or not, but he was trying to.

wtf is the only thing that went thru my mind.

Things that make you go hmmm.....

A group that doesn't require a lot of throws or a lot of yards. Cam throws for about 3300-3500 yds with a 62% completion rate, about a season long 85 QBR...

#1 & 2 receivers catch about 110 receptions between them, a deep threat as well as a TE who can catch as well.

oh, wait, nevermind.... the Panthers had those last year.

The o line is a LT away from being extremely formidable. We have a probowl TE, a large WR who can establish himself as a #1 and a dual threat QB. Add to that a speed play making WR and a Coordinator who doesn't use crayola as his writing utensil when drawing up plays and we could have a very good offense

Yeah it's a multitude of changes but I really don't think Shula is going anywhere as much as I want him gone.

We're a few guys away.

I think we need to find a legitimate 2nd TE option and at least 1-2 more WRs.  For this team, I'd prefer one that's balanced, physical, and disciplined.  Not a speedy flashy guy or a KB duplicate.  Some examples--young-Boldin, maybe a Jordan Matthews type.

If this is the case, then why not just get rid of Rivera altogether?

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
