Wilson & Luck

Dexterity

Rodgers has had how long to work on his footwork and accuracy?   If he hasn't fixed it by now, he never will.    If I were the Packers,  I would try to trade him for a 7th round draft pick....and then trade a 1st round draft pick to the Bills for EJ Manuel.

The problem is people think if you speak highly of Russell that you're dogging Cam. Insecure much? There's room for both.

The problem is people recognize when you're just speaking highly of one player and when you're using said player to dog Cam. It's usually given away when praising said player is immediately followed up with a sentence about how Cam is worse.

Wilson proved exactly what I said last week. Force him to throw into tight coverage, and the accuracy is not there. Period. Give him wide open guys and he'll complete that pass every time. He's no scrub, but he's far from elite.

Wilson can't make the throws Cam makes on a week to week basis. And, for Seattle's offensive system, that's fine. He doesn't have to. They have Lynch to use as both a weapon and distraction, allowing the wide open receivers.

I think Wilson threw, what, 2 passes INTO coverage that got completed? It's not like his picks went right off of receivers' hands that were easily catchable balls. One he lead too much for that slant, which is almost always gonna be a ball that ends up flying in the air (Cam has done this a few times as well), another pick was just a bad toss right at Clinton-Dix, another was a bad underthrow, and I can't remember the 4th pick, but it was equally bad.

Point being, Wilson is a great game manager. Ask him to drop back and throw at coverage like the majority of NFL QB's get asked to do, he simply cannot do it.

I will just say I feel VERY comfortable with Cam as our QB.

They are great too. But i am good with Cam

Exactly. I like Luck. I think he is great. But I get annoyed beyond  belief when Huddlers go crazy about Luck and then say some nonsense about Newton barely being a capable NFL starter.

If you think Luck is a great NFL QB...there is little to no reason to not hold Newton is similar regard.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
